I was charged thousands of dollars and did not get any service done. The corporate office does not respond either.

Save your money and go somewhere else. The customer service at this GMS Dental in La Porte is the worst I have ever had. The front desk lady has no manners and does not know how to treat customers. This company is not a mom and pop place yet functions as one. Don't waste your time here it's not worth your headache. I made an appointment for a cleaning and for regluing my crown I was told to arrive at 8 am. Not sure why I was told to arrive so early being that the dentist doesn't show up till 9 am. The lady at the front desk called my name and requested I fill out some paper work. She soon realized that she did not have any forms printed and she was also out of ink. How does a supposedly professionally run office run out of patient forms and ink to print them? I was brought to the back where they fixed my crown and the lady said I was done for the day. I asked the lady what had happened to my cleaning that had not yet been done. She said I had to wait in the waiting room again. I waited a few minutes then the lady at the front desk told me I did not have a cleaning scheduled. I had clearly called and made and appointment for cleaning and regluing my crown. At this point it is 9:40 am and the lady at the front desk is telling me that I must wait till after the customer who has an appointment at 10 am is done with their cleaning. But this customer still has not arrived. I explained how I had been waiting since 8 am that morning and could not wait another hour and half for another appointment when I had already called and made. It's obvious that the person who took my appointment made a mistake. This lady at the front desk did no effort to help with the mix up. She insisted I had to make another appointment. She didn't care that I had been inconvenienced by the situation that was obviously their mistake. They had no intentions to try and remedy the situation. Customer service is out the door here and doesn't matter. I won't be returning to GMS Dental due to the lack of professionalism and customer care.

I left work to get a crown put in and when I get to the dentist I wait 15 min before anyone comes to the front desk and once I check in they tell me my crown is not in I should really only give them one star

After spending $2000 on a new bridge last summer, at the La Porte GMS Dental Center, it still is not on correctly. I went back numerous times to have it fixed and instead of fixing it correctly they just kept doing temporary fixes. It's been a year now and it still is not on right. Do not go to this dentist office.

Building is a little tacky/old, but it's a great little location. Friendly, direct, and just in general a good location. They don't have an oral surgeon, but they will work with any one you find. It was painless, surprisingly.

My family was looking for a new dentist and we were referred here by a friend. I needed my wisdom teeth removed and they got me in in 2 days! The staff is very friendly and helpful and Dr. Goodson took amazing care of me! I was nervous and they made me feel very comfortable and the procedure was done very fast and painless! I will recommend this place to everyone I know!

These people are a complete joke. I had a dental emergency and they don't care. I was in pain and they never would return my messages day after day after day. I had to find another dentist because they are complete idiots. Don't waste your time with these people. Trust me.

My husband just went yesterday (4/24/2015) and saw a "Dr. Goodson," --apparently Dr. Alvarado has had hand surgery and is out indefinitely? She took a quick xRay and asked my husband, "Do you want the good news or the bad news?" In major tooth pain, he wasn't in the mood for games. He said, "Just tell me..." She said, "Nope, you choose--" He said, "Good." She said, "You don't have an infection. Bad news is we'll have to pull it b/c we can't do root canals on molars." Then she went on to tell them she couldn't pull the molar herself, and he'd have to schedule with an oral surgeon. This did nothing to help his pain whatsoever. Not feeling confident with her diagnosis--despite her overt assurances that she had been a dentist for 30 years, he found another local dentist who agreed to see him this morning on an emergency basis. This dentist took xRays and said there was no doubt why he was in such pain---he had a bad infection and needed first to clear it with antibiotics---then see if they can save the tooth via ROOT CANAL. No promises--might have to be pulled--but no such b.s. about not being able to do root canals on a molar. Who are these people? We liked Dr. Alvarado and received good care there, but our affiliation with this practice is now over.
