The primary reason that most people want to address crowded teeth is because they do not like to smile when their teeth are rotated and misaligned. Unfortunately, this is the least of the worries for a person with crowded teeth. In fact, misaligned teeth simply do not function or bite correctly and make it difficult to maintain proper oral hygiene.
For instance, floss may be difficult to thread between the teeth. Tooth brushing is difficult when teeth overlap one another. Dental decay may result in the hard to brush and floss areas. Decay left untreated may very likely lead to gum disease. As the problem worsens, it can lead to loss of teeth, pain, difficulty chewing, gum disease, bad breath, etc.
Orthodontic treatment is the key to correcting crowded teeth. Braces can realign teeth allowing for correct bite and proper oral hygiene. An orthodontist will evaluate how best to achieve alignment of teeth and provide one or more options. Unfortunately, there may be circumstances in which extraction of permanent teeth is required to obtain a stable, ideal result. A gapped smile or crooked baby teeth is just one indication of dental health. An orthodontist is not only concerned with the health of the teeth and gums, but more importantly with the relationship and structure of the jaws. Does the growth pattern indicate sufficient development to allow for the permanent teeth waiting to erupt? Is the lower jaw too far out front of the upper jaw or vice versa indicating a need for growth modification?
What may the orthodontist see when an x-ray is reviewed? The orthodontist may see too many teeth (supernumerary) or too few teeth (congenitally missing) revealed by a Panoramic X-ray that shows all the teeth in both jaws in one view. The evaluation may reveal very large teeth about to erupt in a too narrow upper jaw or one or more teeth at a severe angle that may not erupt at all without treatment (impacted).

A comprehensive orthodontic evaluation by 7 years old may indicate that your child exhibits normal growth patterns or exhibits issues that may best be addressed with early (interceptive) treatment.

Damon braces are a popular type of clear braces. They employ high technology archwires and tieless braces to move teeth quickly and comfortably. The way that Damon braces works is by utilizing a slide mechanism to maintain the archwires in their brackets while still allowing them to move freely. Lingual, or inside the teeth braces, are similar to traditional braces except that they are hidden inside your teeth. Rather than the braces being placed on the outside of your teeth, they are placed on the inside where they work in the same manner as they would if they were on the outside. Yet, because they are on the inside of your teeth, nobody even knows that you have braces. Discreet and effective.

April and Jamie have been a blessing and all around amazing! I've had numerous things come up through the duration of my time receiving treatment here and they have been nothing but kind and accommodating! Mary Ann has been a blessing as well. She is always so gentle and makes my visits quick and pleasant (as pleasant as they can be). The other assistants I've come in contact with have also been nice and helpful. Dr. Hukmani has also been professional and I'm grateful for his expertise when it comes to my smile! I can't express my gratitude for the people stated above. I highly recommend Glow Orthodontics!

Excellent service and care. With COVID-19 as present as it is, I never felt safer with the extra safety precautions such as; washing hands after check-In, 3% alcohol mouth wash before getting any dental work done, hand sanitizer on the way out, and of course, masks and social distancing.

My son has had an expander in for several months now and we have noticed better breathing at night (while sleeping) and the dark circles under his eyes are greatly reduced! We are very happy with these results! I highly recommend Glow Orthodontic-the entire staff is patient and gentle.

Dr. Hukmani and staff were fantastic! I was searching for an airway focused orthodontist for my son and am so glad I found this one. Dr. Hukmani looks at the whole situation, not just the teeth being misaligned. He was focused on my sons sleeping and breathing habits as well, these things can be affected by the mouth and can also be corrected through orthodontics. My son used to have terrible night terrors, due to insufficient oxygen flow, since his expander the night terrors are gone. This office is THE most efficiently run medical office I have ever been to. They were always on time and most times early! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Love love love this office guys! The team here have now treated my 17 year old (he now looks like a model) my 12 year old (still in the process but moving quickly) and myself (TMJ). Everyone is always prompt, friendly and helpful. They send reminders. They'll even go out of their way to fix unexpected broken ortho (cause you know your kid will break them on a weekend ). There prices are great but the atmosphere is on point! Make sure you check them out! You won't regret it!

My family had tried several other places and was unsatisfied with the service, but this place was awesome! Today, On my first visit there to for my semi-annual cleaning and general exam, after Didi took my temperature and I filled out a covid19 questionnaire, I only had to wait 5-7 minutes before I was called back to see my dentist Ms. Mina Jamesson. Not only was she extremly nice and gentle as possible, she went to the extra lengths to take extra x-rays( at no additional charge) and was able identified problems that I had long suspected but was overlooked by my prior dentist. She not only detailed a very comprehensive plan to get me to back to perfect in my follow up appointments, but she gave me excellent advice on different electronic toothbrushes and flossing options that would work best for my issues. Back at the front desk, Didi printed me a copy of the plan. She and Laura both kindly answered all my questions and went to great lengths to ensure that I understood everything I would need and broke down exactly what my insurance would pay for and what I would be responsible for at the end of each of my following visits.
