After college I took a job as a scientist at a large company that manufactured many dental and household products. I had significant success with multiple patents for many novel dental inventions. One of those products lead to the launch of a new version of Sensodyne toothpaste in the US and Sensodyne Duo in Europe. Another led to the release of a prescription Stannous Fluoride gel called Vision. Its there when I learned I had a passion and talent for the science of dentistry. Eventually I rose to Senior Scientist but decided to change paths and apply to dental school.
I get to work every day with the greatest group of dedicated staff. Each person works so hard and cares so much for the patients. We hire people who are compassionate and smart. They work hard because they truly believe in what we are doing for our patients.
I want all my patients to have functional teeth for their whole life. I love cosmetics but at the end of the day its about keeping people functional, able to eat their favorite meal when they are 100 years old. Pain free, infection free, thats the ultimate goal.
Likely in the office, at least some of the time. I try to accommodate patient schedules and I never turn away an emergency. Otherwise, we live downtown Saratoga so I love walking on Broadway and around congress park.
Dr. Cara Hernas is a doctor of dental medicine. After earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, she moved on to earn her doctorate degree in dental medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. While in Philadelphia, Dr. Hernas completed her general practice residency at VA Medical Center.

Dr. Branden Marcus is a doctor of dental surgery in New York. My appointment with Gina was great as usual. She is very professional and does a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. If I have a concern or issue with she addresses it immediately. It's always a pleasure to see her.

I have been going to Gloversville Family Dentistry since they started in Gloversville. The staff is consistently professional, friendly and very helpful. The experience has always been positive. I like my current hygenist, Gina, and Dr. Walsh so much that when I moved from Mayfield to west of Utica, I still travel back for all my dental work.

Been going here for several years and I never dread it, I actually look forward to it, which I cannot say about my previous dental offices as an adult! Heather is thorough and gentle. Dr. Walsh is fantastic. He is the only dentist to ever give me a pain free experience - I hope I never have to let anyone else near my mouth with a needle!

My appointment was for a cleaning. Heather is the hygienist that took care of me today. She was very thorough and very personable and on time. The dentist was someone that I had not seen before, and I found him to be very nice. Overall I was very pleased with the appointment.

Great place if you want just a cleaning. Probably best cleaning I ever had. Anything more then that, go somewhere else. I had to go for two fillings and then when one filling didn't work out, they wanted to do a root canal. After my first filling I was immediately having severe ear and throat pain, I called back and they said it wasn't related to my teeth (my present dentist confirmed that it indeed was related and couldn't believe they said it wasn't) Every time I went I had to pay something which was unusual for me. Not once did they give me a pretreatment estimate from my insurance company. I finally called my insurance company and was told that I was being overcharged. I called back and had to jump through hoops for several months until I finally received a refund check from them. Thanks for giving me wrong information and trying to overcharge me.

I had a apt for my daughters they don't allow u to go in with your child what who let's their kids go alone because of corona ok if I have s corona so does my children does not make sense
