I graduated from Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington in 1983 and received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University in 1987. After working as a dental assistant and volunteering at the University of Washington Medical Centers dental clinic, I quickly decided dentistry was the perfect career for me. I loved both the arts and sciences, and dentistry was a perfect combination of the two. Dentistry has provided me with the avenue to express my artistic side by helping my patients look their very best while at the same time providing the highest quality, most up-to-date dental care.
Upon receipt of my doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Washington in 1995, I began working as a dentist for Puget Sound Neighborhood Health Centers, providing dental care for disadvantaged populations of the Metro Seattle area. This opportunity enabled me to gain invaluable experience in all fields of dentistry, along with a chance to give back to the communities I love.
In 2001 I left the Centers to practice dentistry in my own private Downtown Seattle office setting. We have cared for many of our patients for years, while at the same time we meet new patients every day joining the practice, most hearing about us by word of mouth from other very satisfied clients. Most patients have never experienced this level of care, and it shows by how many never leave the practice. Many come from Seattle homes or offices, while others drive in from the suburbs we even have several patients who love our practice so much they fly in from outside the country to see us! (on hold during the pandemic) We welcome everyone.
Through all the years of my career, I have been blessed in being able to remain at the forefront of technology by being surrounded by amazing mentors, study clubs and continuing education. In this regard I have worked hard to become an expert level Bioclear dentist, and proudly maintain this status, which ensures that my patients always receive the highest quality, most modern dental care. I have called Mercer Island, WA my home for the past 20 years.
