Dr. Shan is a graduate of Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, one of the best in the country. She has been a dentist for years and has been through several post graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving her DMD degree. Previously, she had completed a Dental MD and Master Degree of Microbiology & Immunology from Qi Lu Medical University in Shandong, China. From 1987-1993, she served as an Assistant professor at Capital Medical University in Beijing, China and from 1993-1999, she was a Research Fellow of Molecular Genetics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Her emphasis on patient comfort as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry enable her to provide her patients with the best quality of care in the field. Dr. Shan has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatments.

When patients ask directions, statements like north of west broad where Glenside intersects with Bethlehem would have been more helpful than "close to mission BBQ". Service was great. I am ecstatic that I can brush my teeth without pain. The absolute joy of being pain free. I can't appreciate enough.

Do not recommend. They are not very adept at verifying insurance coverage. They were on my list of preferred providers by my insurance carrier. But for some reason they said they couldn't verify coverage. I emailed all documentation and verification of coverage phone numbers a week before appointment.

Dr. Shan and her staff are phenomenal. I have a fear of dentists and Dr. Shan alleviated that fear. It didn't hurt that Rocky 4 was on in the exam room because that is one of my favorite movies. I felt very comfortable at Dr. Shan's office.

Dr. Michaeland staff are wonderful. Dr. Mike pulled my tooth, I felt great about a hour later.Very clean practice and they take time with you.

Great experience here. The team is so nice and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I have had a fear of doctors for so, long, but Dr. Mike has such great energy and makes you feel very comfortable while in the chair. I always have little to not wait time. I have worked with Dr. Shan in the past and just is just as great.
