Dr. Ritter is a General Practitioner in the true sense of the discipline. As such, most of your treatment needs can be met in our practice, including most extractions, root canal therapy and other restorative and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Ritters background culminates to a wealth of variety and experience. His undergraduate B.S.degree from Cornell University is in child development. Dr. Ritter graduated from New York University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree. His post-graduate education continued with a general practiceresidency at HackensackUniversity Medical Center where he continued to serve ontheMedical Center'shouse staff.He was also an Attending Physician at Pascack Valley Hospital. With over 20 years of extensive hospital training and service, Dr. Ritter has honed superior surgical skills and the treatment of medically compromised patients. In addition to this he has served on the staff of two long-term care facilities.He was the Director of Dentistry at Valley Healthcare, Westwood, NJfor over 12 years. Young and old, understanding infants to adolescents and geriatric needs form the foundation in providing an outstanding level of care.
Dr. Ritter takes time out of the office each month as an active participant in continuing education. He is committed to keeping abreast of the latest advances and research in the fields of dentistry and medicine.

I love being a patient of Dr. Ritter's! It's one of the few offices I go to where I don't just feel like a patient but it feels like family. Everyone on his staff is 100% dedicated to dentistry and love what they are doing. I started going to Dr. Ritter in November 2016 for a crown issue that was never resolved from when I lost two front teeth as a child. Dr. Ritter patiently explained my options and I knew I was in good hands. I had to go in for several appointments because the type of dental work I needed was extensive and he really was not only beyond knowledgeable about what he was doing but personable as well. His assistant was also great to me. Together they both anticipated my needs before I even had to express them and I felt comfortable everytime I had to get in the chair for further work. When it got down to choosing the right type of shading and fit for my new crown's, Dr. Ritter analyzed with me every step of the way the right shading, color and shape of my new teeth. He kept assuring me that he would make sure that I would be happy with the final result and would accept nothing less. After so many years I finally have a confident smile I love and it is all because of Dr. Ritter and his staff. Now I go there regularly to have my teeth cleaned by the hygienists who are both fantastic and have always given me the most careful and thorough cleaning. In fact before I started going there, I didn't even know a cleaning was supposed to be like that. It was above and beyond anything I had experienced before. And even though he doesn't have to, the office staff tell me that Dr. Ritter makes it a priority to see each patient himself after each cleaning. And with every cleaning, when I am done he arrives at the door to check in. If every doctor were like Dr. Ritter, people who normally don't go to the dentist on a regular basis certainly would. So happy I found Dr. Ritter and his entire team for my dental needs!!

I have been going to Dr. Ritter for the last 4 years. I got invisaligns through him. He is an excellent dentist and a charming man to boot.

I have been personally going to Doctor Ritter since my first dentist appointment as a child. Not only was he great with me as a kid- which helped me never develop a fear of the dentist, but he's great as an adult too. Appointments are [almost] always on time, quick and to the point. He's honest, friendly and sincere when he takes care of you. He is the only person I would ever trust going into my mouth. From the orthodontist when I was 12 to an oral surgeon when I was 19 for my wisdom teeth to be removed, he has never failed me with recommendations for what I need. His dental staff is fantastic and they always do the best job when cleaning my teeth and making sure every cavity is filled. I highly recommend Dr. Ritter and his staff for anyone in the area!
