My initial interest in orthodontics was sparked by my own orthodontic treatment experience, at the age of nine, where I saw firsthand how my orthodontist changed my smile, gave me a comfortable bite, and then realized how much a beautiful smile affected my self-esteem and future success. As I was preparing for my pre-dental studies, I was accepted to UCLA as a Regent Scholar with a full scholarship majoring in Psychobiology and graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors. I then went on to obtain my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious UCSF School of Dentistry, where I served as the Class President and was awarded the Frances A. Sooy Chancellors Cup with the highest honors from my dental school class before joining the UCSF orthodontic residency.
I was also the recipient of the California Dental Association and American Association of Dental Education scholarships. I completed my orthodontic certificate in addition to obtaining a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences with a 4.0 GPA. My thesis was focused on the relationship of TMJ disorder to airway and vertical facial growth and its relation to obstructive sleep apnea, recently published in the Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists.
I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. As a Board-Certified orthodontist, I truly enjoyed teaching and I am currently a clinical educator at UCLA Section of Orthodontics, teaching orthodontic residents, and the co-course director of Interdisciplinary orthodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, teaching dental students.
To ensure that I give my patients the highest quality care as a Los Angeles and Glendale Board-Certified orthodontist, I, similar to Dr. Bergh, believe that continuing education is critical. We are in an age of rapid change, and keeping up with the latest developments and innovations allows me and my team to provide you with the most current braces and orthodontic treatment available. This is why I participate in training and courses to continue my education, averaging over 150 hours each year.

Dr. Amir is a Board-Certified Orthodontist and has an extensive background in Orthodontics and Invisalign clear aligners. He has achieved the highest level of certification available as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Amir completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He immediately went on to attend the prestigious University of California San Francisco(UCSF) Dental School for four years, graduating with the highest honors, followed by an additional three years of graduate studies in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at UCSF. Like Dr. Bergh, he is a part-time UCLA faculty member training Orthodontic residents and is course director of the Interdisciplinary Orthodontics course at UCLA School of Dentistry.
Dr. Amir has many years of experience specializing in interdisciplinary, comprehensive, preventative, surgical, and two-phase orthodontics with Invisalign, removable orthodontic appliances, and fixed braces. He has done extensive research and studies on facial growth and development and its relationship to the temporal-mandibular joint (TMJ) disorder and airway dimension. His research was recently published in The Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontics.
Some of you may find a special connection with Dr. Amir in that he enjoys fostering rescued puppies, attending live concerts, hiking, cycling through scenic routes, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Amir is a fantastic, courteous orthodontist. He listens to and looks at your concerns carefully before suggesting a treatment to straighten your teeth without challenging or harming the integrity of your teeth. I saw him to have my lower teeth straightened and am extremely happy with the results of his work. His staff is always friendly and helpful, and the overall ambiance at the office is calm, turning what could be a stressful experience into a relaxing one.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've been to other orthodontics offices, and no one has ever treated me the way Dr. Amir Yeganeh and his staff have. My former orthodontist passed away close to the time when I had extracted my teeth. Dr. Amir Dadgar-Yeganeh made a swift and comfortable transition, knowing exactly how to treat his new patients. He is kind and provides detailed consultations, addressing any concerns we may have. I had my braces on for six years because we decided to extract my teeth in the middle of my treatment. Dr. Amir Dadgar-Yeganeh helped me to take off my braces, and I am happy with my smile and my side profile!

In the middle of my daughter's ortho treatment, Orthodontist passes away, so Dr. Yeganeh took over. He is very kind and explained any questions and considerations. My daughter finished her phase 1 with Dr Amir today, and he's achieved some nearly impossible things for her! My daughter had some crowding issues and we consulted 3 different orthodontists who all said we needed to extract a permanent tooth. However, Dr Amir was able to work his magic and create enough room for the tooth without extracting anything! It's a huge plus that his office staff is also great. Everyone at this office is always pleasant and happy to help. Many thanks to everyone at Dr Amir's office!

When going through retainers and braces, it makes a huge difference having a good team of supportive professionals helping you through this process. I've been here since Dr. Bergh, and now Dr. Amir, and they are both amazing and kind doctors. The office is extremely clean and tidy, they have many amenities to keep you entertained, and everyone is so nice and friendly. I highly recommend going here for Invisalign as I can't imagine going anywhere else
