Improving other peoples smiles is truly Dr. Sues biggest passion. He enjoys working closely with his dental patients to help them achieve their personal dental goals through custom treatment plans and a compassionate, knowledgeable touch. With over 40 years of experience in the oral healthcare field, youll know right away that your teeth are in the best of hands!
After considering his natural gifts, skillsets, and overall temperament, Dr. Sue quickly realized that becoming a dentist was the perfect career that would allow him to live a purposeful and fulfilling life. He genuinely enjoys being able to serve and help others while also making positive, lifelong differences in their health. In fact, he regularly travels to 2nd or 3rd world countries like Kenya, Cambodia, Brazil, and Kazakhstan in order to volunteer his services to populations who are less fortunate.
Dr. Sue completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1975 through San Diego State University before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California. Upon graduation, he continued to pursue advanced training through prestigious programs like the Pankey Institute, the Kois Center, and SPEAR. He is also part of a restorative study group through the University of Southern California and an Elite Member of Dental Sleep Masters, as well as a Certified ClearCorrect provider. He considers himself a perpetual lifelong learner for both personal and professional growth; he enjoys being able to serve his patients more effectively and provide clinical excellence! He is currently a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Sue is a proud San Diego native and has lived in the South Pasadena areas for multiple decades. He and his wife April have two grown children, a son-in-law, and a grandson. In his free time, his hobbies include being with family, traveling, playing tennis, and snowboarding. He is also extremely passionate about working with local non-profit organizations such as Heavenly Treasures, Empowering Lives International, and Elizabeth House, providing much-needed dental care and serving those who are in dire need such as the poor, the oppressed, orphans, and widows. He has a real desire for making the world a better place for mankind one person at a time!
You will enjoy having Clarence as your assistant while with us because her main priority is to always make the patient comfortable and listen to their concerns. Its amazing how you can feel her infectious smile and genuine warmth and caring even with her mask on.
Gloria is our healthy gum producing, tartar eliminating, preventive dental care to patients for their overall health and well-being in order to keep you out of our chair more than in it hygienist extraordinaire! She loves being a professional health care provider. As a RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) her many years in the dental field have been rewarding and a sense of pride helping others become and stay dentally healthy!

Dr Sue is Excellent dentist. He's very professional knowledgeable and caring. I had a dental emergency he was able to see me really quickly. He is a good listener and providers individualized patient care. Simply the best!!

Always have had a great experience here. Dr Sue does quality dentistry. I've had over 8 dentists since the 80's with a lot of crowns, and re-dos (>20) and so I know quality work. I've been going here for 5 years now

Dr Sue and his team have been so patient with me over the last few years. When I moved to LA I didn't know where to go so I picked the best rated in my area. Each and every single experience has exceeded my expectations. I started four years ago with a way overdue cleaning appointment and just finished a veneer procedure. I've been so insecure about my smile for over two decades. Dr. Sue took his time with me and my teeth. I'm blown away. Everything about each experience is a solid 10/10. The place is just so superior to any other dentist place I ever went to.The assistant and personal are flying on wheels to satisfy and necessity medical or human.They are sweet like honey and the CV doctor is so good it is superhuman.He is perfect in any ways and his work is beautiful!

I've been coming here for over 20+ years and Dr. Sue is friendly, kind and professional. He's been friends with my parents for over 30 years. He's been helping me out right now with the aligners and now he's working on my overbite to try to correct it. Never had any issues with him or anyone in the office.

Inaccurate billing, lack of transparency regarding the cost of services, intentionally misleading information from the billing office regarding insurance billing and in-network services. Don't go to this office unless you're independently wealthy.

Office leaves a lot to be desired. I was told my insurance was accepted here. After clarifying many times and even showing the card, still it turned out to be out-of-network leading to a yearlong paper chase and precious hours of wasted time. No one wants to answer the phone and when they do there are excuses aplenty about being about to go on lunch. Incompetent answering service that cannot get its facts right. People texting behind the counter instead of solving problems. I am going to have to find a new dentist office that wants my business.

Waiting area, offices, and procedures have been modified for the protection of staff and patients during this time of global pandemic. I highly recommend Dr. Sue and his entire staff.

I absolutely love dr. Sue and his dental staff and have going to the office for about 2 years or so BUT this new Older lady in the reception area was so rude and demeaning I may not return. She took one look at me and assumed I couldn't pay and had no insurance. Then she attempted to double charge me because the office hadn't billed me for prior work. Will not being going back as long as that women is there Dose not know how to treat people
