Selected as one of New Jerseys 'Favorite Kids Doc' in Pediatric Dentistry for 2019, Dr. Dan is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who earned his D.D.S. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed his pediatric specialty training at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Dr. Dan also completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Michigan Hospital while working with special needs and medically compromised patients. He received a Bachelors of Science with a major in biochemistry and a minor in music performance in cello from the University of California San Diego.
Dr. Dan is an active member of several distinguished organizations, such as the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and he attends CE courses annually to stay up to date on the latest methods to provide high quality and comprehensive personalized care for your child.
Dr. Dan lives locally with his wife and three young children.As a dedicated husband and father, he enjoys spending his free time with his family. When he is at work, he loves singing along with the kids the Disney songs and songs about fighting cavities. Outside of work, Dr. Dan is a certified spinning instructor and also enjoys hiking, coaching softball, playing basketball, watching movies, and attending sporting events.
Katie Yoo Passman, DDS, MS is a graduate of HarvardUniversity with an AB with honors in Economics. After a careerin finance, she discovered that her true passion lay in workingwith people and creating beautiful smiles for them. She also wanted to follow in the footsteps of her older brother, Dr. Daniel Yoo. To this end,Dr. Passman enrolled at Columbia University College of DentalMedicine, where she earned both her Doctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) and her Master of Science in Orthodontics (MS) degrees.
At Columbia, Dr. Passman was inducted into theprestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society,named Deans Scholar, and received the Class Committee Award conferred tothe top 10% of the class for academic excellence. She regularlyparticipated in the American Dental Associations Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) programand also performed pro bono dental work for orphans in Cambodia.
Dr. Passman is trained in a wide variety of orthodontic methods ranging fromclassical techniques to modern, cutting-edge, technologies like InvisalignTM, lingualbraces, and temporary anchorage devices. She is a firm believer in lifelong learningand keeps abreast of the latest research in her field while constantly striving to provideher patients with the safest, evidence-based treatments.

Dr Dan was funny and kind and my kids really enjoyed the experience. He explained everything along the way and gave us great tips for brushing and flossing better. Highly recommend!

Great first experience for both me and my toddler. The dentist has changed so much since I was a small kid in the 90s! Beautiful office with a techy waiting room with tablets for gamer kids. We were greeted by the whole staff, including the dentist, before we reached the patient room. They have tvs attached to the ceiling for your weary child to watch while the staff is cleaning their teeth. Many different flavors of floss and tooth paste. They even gave us a welcome gift! I've told my mom friends and even my colleagues about this place after I left. The best part is my son wants to go back to the dentist, ha! Thanks for the wonderful experience! You deserve great reviews.

It is very unusual for a child to look forward to going to the doctor let alone the dentist (lol), but my daughter looks forward to all of her appointments at Glen Rock Smiles. Dr. Passman is not only good at what she does but she ensures that the experience is pleasant and takes her time explaining every procedure. And let's not forget Dr. Dan. From the moment I spoke with him on the phone, to set my daughter's first appointment, I knew I had found the right place. Not to mention his service and attention during our appointments is unparalleled to any other experience we've had. Thanks to you and your assistants for the great service you provide! 5+

Dr Dan is the best. After trying a couple options around Bergen county, I was so happy to find out the best option was right here in town. Our 7 and 3 year old went through their routine checkups with ease. Clean modern facility with a fun kid vibe, really couldn't be happier. What really set Dr Dan apart was the special care our little one received when he came in for an emergency. He had landed on his face and had his front tooth pushed in. Dr Dan was reassuring and gentle throughout, for both kid and parents. Looking forward to coming here for years to come.

Such a warm and wonderful team. They extend themselves an extra 100 miles for the kids. I am so happy to have found someone I can trust to care for my children. Dr Dan is very professional, knowledgeable and is hilarious with the little ones. His assistant Ashley is caring and sweet. Jina is so accommodating and works hard to find time around your schedule and keep things organized for the best outcomes. I can't say enough. Highly recommend office and experience. My daughter Kasija is a new patient, and EVERYONE in the office was so professional. Dr. Dan was knowledgeable, kind, funny, caring, and very informative. The entire office was very up-to-date with modern equipment, and it has such a pleasant environment. My daughter Kasija's opinion: "Dr. Dan is the best dentist in the world and his assistant Ashley is so lovely"!!! Very clean and nice place. Everyone was very friendly and the doctor was terrific! It was my 3 year old's first dentist visit and she had a great time. From my first phone call when a doctor reached out to get to know my daughter better to the an actually visit I can only say nice things. Thank you

So glad we found this place! Was nervous taking my 20 month old for his first dental visit, but we got through it without any tears! Dr. Dan was very warm and friendly and great with kids. The office is modern and clean, and they even have TVs on the ceiling. Open 2 Saturdays a month which is also a plus.

We had the MOST wonderful experience at Glen Rock Smiles. Of our three girls, one struggles with anxiety and the youngest had become very scared of the dentist due to a bad experience. When I reached out on our local page for advice, I was flooded with messages from moms who had the nicest things to say about GRS, and in parricular about Dr. Dan. So my hopes were up, but they were quickly VERY much exceeded. This is hands down THE BEST practice, in absolutely every respect, from the immaculate spa-like atmosphere to the extremely fair billing following Jina Huh (Dr. Dan's wife and business partner) navigating our super annoying COBRA insurance situation before we even got to the office, to the fidget toys and "squishies" (goodbye, weird plastic toy chests!), to the unfailing kindness of everyone in the office...but the biggest surprise of all was Dr Dan, who SANG to our terrified three year old and within about 5 minutes was brushing and polishing her teeth like she was his best friend! It was amazing! And now every night she says "Dr Dan sings the tooth song to my teeth" and actually lets me brush her teeth, which is a minor miracle. Also, Dr. Passman, the orthodontist, was just lovely- she was calm and sweet and totally non-shaming at all, even though one of my daughters still uses a pacifier, and she completely turned us around on when and how to proceed with all the pre-braces stuff for kids. Anyway, this was a great experience all around and we will never go anywhere else. Thank you so much, Glen Rock Smiles!!!!

This was by FAR the BEST experience we have had at a dentist office. My 8 year old actually said she is looking forward to her next visit. The office is very clean and calming. The staff were amazing, very attentive, and took their time to talk to us. Dentist visits can be very daunting, especially for kids, this was not the case at all. Great experience. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience. My 2 1/2 year old immediately felt comfortable, and the calm environment and friendly staff soothed even this anxious mom's nerves! Dr Dan is the best. Like a dental ninja, he deftly navigated my toddlers mouth making it a fun, easy experience for him. The next day my son reminded me he had to floss to get the sugar bugs out--I guess he was paying attention!

We took our two young children to Glen Rock Smiles for their annual visits and could not have been more impressed by the entire experience. Dr. Dan and Dr. Passman are great with young kids and making them feel comfortable. This is truly a family office experience from the beginning to end and right in the middle of Glen Rock. And the new office is beautiful. Very highly recommended!
