As a dentist, I thrive on offering my patients effective, comprehensive, and minimallyinvasive dental treatments in order to improve and maintain their oral health. At the same time, I develop personal relationships with each person I see.

Being a dentist means connecting with people: establishing open lines of communication from the first meeting, learning about their oral health needs and goals, discussing their concerns, educating them about treatment options, and forming a team to plan their goals. Along the way, we truly get to know each other. The exchanges I have with my patients have made me a better personas well as a better care provider.

Dentistry is rewarding. Not only do I get to use both my technical aptitude and artistic skills, but I get to relieve people of dental-related pain and improve their oral well-being, which in turn improves their whole-body health. I help patients feel better about their appearance, too, which improves their self-esteem and confidence.

In addition to extensive training in CEREC single-visit crowns and cosmetic dentistry, I also attend lectures, seminars, and oral health conferences. It is essential that I liveup to the trust my patients place in me, andprovide them with the best possible care.I can only do that throughcontinuallearning.

I was born and raised here in Salem and am proud to be living here still. Ive been married for more than 20 years and have two children and a dog. My family, especially my children, is my highest personal priority: I love supporting their growth and various interests. When I have the time, I like flying and other family-centered activities.

To me, being a dentist is about promoting oral health for my patients and treating them the way I would want to be treated. I strive to interact with all patients with sincerity and respect, while looking out for their best interests and helping them progress to oral health and maintaining it for a lifetime.

Dr. Peterschmidt is Dr. Sheltons nephew and he shares the same ideals in dental treatment. He is focused on prevention and being as conservative as possible while looking out for our patients goals and well-being.

After growing up in Albany, Dr. Peterschmidt graduated from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. He received multiple awards for showing exceptional skill and interest in endodontics.

I'm a graduate of OHSU. I have worked as a hygienist for more than 15 years and have been with Glen Creek Dental for at least a decade. Im also an instructor at the Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene Program at Chemeketa Community College. I have been teaching for many years. This position has allowed me the unique opportunity to take students and provide dental care in countries throughout Africa and Honduras.

I graduated from dental assisting in 2007 and have been working with Dr. Shelton and the Glen Creek Dental team ever since. You will see me buzzing around the office helping in most aspects of the practice. I love coming up with ways to keep the office laughing and being involved in a wide range of community projects.

I enjoy getting to know the patients and especially love getting to watch the doctors transform someones smile, knowing thats a life-changing experience for them. When a patient doesnt feel comfortable smiling or has had atraumatic dental expierence in the past, it's very rewarding to see amazing, beautiful new smiles when theyre done with treatment. Brighter smiles and happy patients! Among my job duties are patient relations, financial and insurance consulting and claims processing, scheduling, and team building.

When Im not at work, youll find me creating things, whether I am painting, drawing, beading, or scrapbooking. I especially enjoy time with my family and friends. I take every opportunity to travel, especially to warm places!
