In professional practice for more than 10 years Dr. Shah has been improving smiles in Richmond VA since 2009. Dr. Shah received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from Rutgers Dental School with a special focus and advanced courses in Dental Public Health. She also completed additional training at the General Practice Residency Program at John F Kennedy Hospital in Edison, NJ. While serving as a GPR resident, she developed her skills to provide comfortable, personalized care for her patients. Dr. Shah cared for many children and adults during her residency and has achieved a high level of success with complex cases. She works with a personalized approach to treating patients and ensuring their needs are answered. Her team is focused on keeping patients aware of their dental condition and provide the most fantastic results. Dr. Shah feels that it is important to keep on top of the advances in dentistry by taking continuing education courses. Dr. Shah continually educates herself and her team on the newest dental techniques to give you the best dental care possible.
Dr. Shah is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Womens Dental Association, Richmond Dental Society and a member of the Spears Study Club. She is an active volunteer for various charitable organizations such as Mission of Mercy , give a kids a smile day, and Fundacion Ninos Que Rien and America India Foundation. She has a personal commitment to provide the highest quality of care available to her patients in a safe comfortable atmosphere.
Dr. Shweta Ujaoney was born and raised in Nagpur, India. While in India, she completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery as well as a Masters in Oral Diagnosis, Medicine, and Radiology before moving to the United States with her husband. Once in the U.S., she attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and received her DDS. Dr. Ujaoney completed a residency at Case Western Reserve University in their School of Dental Medicine. She is a member of the ADA, VDA, IAOMR, and IDA. Dr. Ujaoney has received many dental awards including the Deans List at VCU, the AD Williams Research Scholarship, the Endowed Scholarship, and was on the Scholarship Awards Committee at VCU. She also has patented the painless pediatric syringe design. She has several research publications to her credit.
Dr. Ujaoney was first drawn to dentistry as a child. She did not like her smile as a child, so it made her recognize early on that a beautiful smile is a great booster of self-confidence and among the best gifts you can offer to a loved one. She thus wanted to contribute towards beautiful smiles for her patients as a dentist. Dr. Ujaoneys favorite part of being a dentist is interacting with patients and understanding their needs. She likes to give individualized dental care to each patient she sees.
Dr. Ujaoney is married to Tushar, a physician, andthey have two daughters who they love to spend their time with. In her spare time, she enjoys oil painting and water colors, as well as clay modeling and nature walks. Dr. Ujaoney loves to paint and have won several awards for her work. She speaks three languages- English, Hindi/Urdu, and Marathi.
Amy has worked in the dental field since 2007. She began as an insurance and treatment coordinator all the while gaining a thorough understanding of both aspects. She now has transitioned into the role of our office manager. Shes the go to person for all things dental related or just to say hi at your hygiene visits. Amy has a great relationship with our patients since she has a been a constant here at our office.
Amy is married with two children who are very active in sports. When not at the office you will find her at a soccer game or watching her daughter cheer. Shes also an avid sports fan and loves watching VCU basketball, the Packers, and Virginia Tech.
Christina is originally from Vermont, but has lived in the Richmond, VA area since 2006. Christina has her Bachelor of Science Degrees in Biology and Dental Hygiene from VCU. One of her favorite parts of her job is helping patients develop and reach goals which promote oral and systemic health.
Harmony is originally from the Midwest but moved to Virginia in 2004. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012 and has been practicing ever since. Her favorite part of her job is educating patients so they can make the best possible choices for a healthy smile.
Jaudon is from Williamsburg and has been a dental assistant since 2017. When shes not at work she enjoys spending time with her cat and binge watching Netflix shows. Her favorite part about her job is connecting with patients and seeing their progress throughout the course of treatment.
Nikki graduated from Lee-Davis High school and then went to Dental Assisting School and graduated from there in Aug 2020. When shes not working, she enjoys spending time with her cat, baking, and watching shows on Netflix. She also enjoys roller skating and hanging out with her friends. Shes also a major Disney fanatic. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the confidence people have in themselves after they get dental work done.
Chantal graduated from VCU with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She has a passion for dentistry and hopes to find herself on the clinical side of dentistry on day. Shes a great asset to our front desk team with her positive attitude and caring nature. In her free time, she loves to work out and eat at Richmonds local restaurants.
Amanda was born in Brazil and moved to the United States with her parents when she was 7 years old. She is new to the dental field but has always been fascinated by it. She hopes to go back to school and get her degree in Dental Hygiene. In her spare time, she is planning her wedding with her boyfriend of 8 years. She loves all things Disney, video games, and her dog. Her favorite part of her job is solving our patients scheduling conflicts . She is alwayshappy to assist them!
Dana started her journey in the dental world volunteering with her aunt at the Goochland Free Clinic in 2003 where she was trained as a dental assistant. Dana has been an integral part of Glen Allen Dentistry since 2013. Her favorite part of the job is helping patients feel welcomed and understanding their treatment or dental needs. When she is not working she enjoys live music, anything outside and spending time with her 3 sons, 2 cats and a dog.
