Dentistry has interested me since I was young because as a profession it was uniquely focused on helping people smile what could be better? Since launching my practice I have enjoyed becoming adept at enhancing smiles and solving even the most complex dental issues. Watching a patient go from a place of pain and fear to pride and joy is quite amazing!
I believe that everyone has a right to prioritize health in a way that fits their needs, goals, and lifestyle. As an active explorer of the beautiful Bay Area and an avid lover of its good food and wine, my personal mission is to maintain an optimal level of physical, mental, and emotional health so that I may maintain a high level of activity in service to my self, family, community, andworld.
In that regard, it is my hope that my dental practice can offer the same to my patients - that my training, experience, ongoing education, and dedicated staff can be a cornerstone of health information and care that supports not only the oral and dental health of ourpatients but their overall health as well, so that they may thrive at every age.
Greenbrae is a wonderful place to have a practice and I amgrateful to live in the Bay area where we can take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the great local harvest and talented chefs/cooks (professional or not) that our area has to offer. I enjoy jogging in the Golden Gate Park any chance I get and love to watch live music concerts with my husband Brad and my son Braden.
Kari is our first-rate dental hygienist. Her soft touch is deceiving - never a more thorough and detail-oriented cleaning has been delivered with such gentleness. Kari will always check in with you to make sure you understand and are comfortable at every step. Like our other staff, Karibecame interested in dental hygiene in high school when she assisted her aunt, a dental hygienist. Twelve years later she is as passionate as ever about helping her patients achieve the radiance that comes from a great smile and a healthy body.
In her free time, you can find Kari spending time with her husband Kevin and her 6-year-old son Spencer taking advantage of the unlimited opportunities Marin County offers to be active outdoors. Her favorite: biking, hiking, swimming and skiing in Tahoe.
Maria is the friendly face you will see upon entering and leaving our office and the kind voice that will greet you when you call. She is our front office aficionado and we know you will feel as lucky to meet her in our office as we feel having her help.
Maria has worked for over 25 years in the dental profession and is a Jane of all trades - she can sterilize equipment, take x-rays, navigate insurance, but most of all she has an uncanny ability to help our patients feel comfortable and welcome when they walk in the door.
Maria lives in Pinole with her thirteen year-old daughter, Jenna. She also has a twenty-seven year-old, Kristina. When she's not at the office, she loves spending time and making memories with her daughters, doing whatever it is that sounds fun.

I was very happy with the care I received for my crown. I appreciated the time you took to thoroughly describe everything in detail what to expect. The anesthesia was administered gently with no pain during its administration and throughout the procedure. So glad I found you. Exceptional care. Smile!

Dr. Yi and her staff has always been a pleasure to visit for any dental needs. She always explains, in layman terms, what is needed and why for any procedure. Just got a molar implant and the crown fits perfectly just like its always been there.

I wrote these words Before but they remain valid even 2 yrs later. Dr Yi has been working on this aging mouth for over 14 years. She is a perfectionist in her work. When she is not satisfied she will redo it so you are the benefactor. Her entire staff is kind, caring & professional. Make a VISIT to find out for yourself.

First patient visit was very pleasant. Dr Yi 's calm demeanor provided a relaxed atmosphere to begin a dental health discussion. I found Dr Yi to be honest and agree with her priorities for determining dental issues. Unlike other dentists I have used Dr Yi does not push unnecessary procedures or treatments. She is very straightforward about issues that require immediate attention and other issues that require long term monitoring. I highly recommend Dr Yi to anyone that has anxieties about dentists.

After losing my previous Dentist of 20 years to a stroke, I was faced with the daunting task of searching for a new Dentist. However, I placed it on the back burner just as many of us do. In addition to experiencing the discomfort of laying in Dentists chairs (ironic!) due to my tall frame, I've also felt a growing sense of anxiety before and during Dentist visits in the past. Think a lot of people can relate here? Regrettably, after procrastinating for 6 years, I was referred to Dr. Glara Yi in November 2019 by a dear friend. Sparing the unnecessary details, all I can say is; Dr. Yi is one of the most caring, friendly, proficient and informative Dentists who's kindly and gently resolved many of my dental issues. There were no harsh lectures after the 6 year absence from cleanings as well. Circling back to the challenge of anxiety, I was so relaxed during my last appointment with Dr. Yi, I fell into a light slumber.....both relaxing and hilarious! This is a testament to Dr. Yi and her friendly staff's dedication to patient care and comfort. Dr. Yi, Maria and Vanessa, thank you very much for reviving my dental health and your incredible care!
