Dr. Candace Krause and Dr. Jeremy Kato are dedicated to the long-term health of their patients. For them, long-term relationships come naturallyDr. Kato was a patient of Dr. Krauses when he was growing up. Having her as a dentist inspired him to become one himself!
The doctors have worked together at their first location in Gladstone since 2006. Over that time, they and their staff have developed a passion for treating patients like family. Dr. Jeremy Kato is a dentist with a surprising range of talents. He received his dental degree from the University of Maryland, has completed special courses in implantology and orthodontics, and has done extensive dental research since 2001. But in addition to his great dentistry skills, Dr. Kato also speaks Cantonese, a language he learned while he lived in China for two years, and also worked as an EMT before he became a dentist. All of these talents show that he takes communicating with and caring for people seriously. But dont worry, even though hes a serious guy, he still likes to have a good time as he works with patients.
Dr. Kato believes in treating his patients just like family, and that kind of care will translate into any language, in any situation. He looks forward to getting to know all the people and businesses thatmake our community unique.
Dr. Candace Krause grew up in Milwaukie and is a 1983 graduate of the OHSU School of Dentistry, and completed undergraduate studies at OSU in 1980. She wanted to become a dentist because she enjoys the detailed nature of the work. Each dental exam and procedure has to be done right the first time, and for someone who likes focused work, dentistry was a natural choice. However, every patient, every tooth, and every day are different for her, and this is one of the pleasures of both being a dentist and running a business. Her ability to ease suffering and promote health in her patients is what makes Dr. Krauses work gratifying every day.

Get a second opinion if they try to sell you on their $3,000+ (that's the out of pocket cost even with insurance) laser treatment for gums. I thought it was fishy when they had someone give me what felt like a sales presentation on the treatment before telling me if I didn't do it, they wouldn't treat me. I went to Kaiser instead, where I discovered my gums were not nearly as bad as Gladstone said they were (I had another exam that yeilded different results) and I don't need crazy expensive laser treatment.

I would highly recommend any one to come to Gladstone family dentistry. All the staff is wonderful they are very warm and caring. Dr. Kato has done numerous procedures for me and I also have had Dr. Krause wonderful dentists.

I have been going to Gladstone Family Dentistry for 5 years now. Dr. Krause is great. Love all the girls up front. Going to the dentist has always been hard for me but they make Goin there easy. So glad I found them.
