Medications can assist with this process, but the emotional support by a caring dental team that cares about your well being is what changes lives and moves patients past their previous negative dental experiences for the better... and that is the truth!
Our Oral Sedation Protocol is simple, predictable and safe. You will be lightly to moderately sedated using a very safe and time tested oral medication, that is generally taken the night before and the morning of your procedure.
Because you are completely comfortable, Dr. Gist can accomplish years of restorative dentistry in as little as one or two visits. Our Oral Sedation Protocol is perfect for extremely busy patients that also desire to have their dentistry done in as efficient manor possible! Imagine being able to smile with confidence and chew your food without pain. No wonder so many patients say: 'Thank you, Dr. Gist. Sedation dentistry changed my life.'
You will then be escorted into our extremely spacious and comfortable treatment operatories with picturesque ceiling to floor windows. Our team will cover you with a warm blanket and you will be placed on a monitor to watch your vital signs. After you are comfortable, Dr. Gist and our experienced clinical team will take care of your dental needs in a comfortable and caring manor.
When your treatment is completed, your personal clinical assistant will go over very specific home care instructions with your responsible companion that will then drive you home. You will then receive an after hours care call that evening from your clinical assistant, just to make sure you are doing as well as expected.

Dr. Gist and his professional team, provide a stellar service - one that I'm willing to travel 2 states away for! As a 41 year old, that knows my way around a dental chair, I can tell you that I had the most thorough exam, and consult of my life. No, he is not your ordinary dentist that will repair just what's broken... he prevents future issues and pays attention to the details that matter in making sure my dentistry will last. Dr. Gist spent a couple of hours with me and I left feeling like a friend. With high integrity, a great family and obviously a team and patients that love him - I highly recommend him. But only walk through those doors if you want to hear the truth ~~ my entire mouth was photographed and I could see the evidence for myself. It will take several months for my dentistry to be completed, because for the first time ever it will be done RIGHT. To me that peace of mind is priceless. Thank you Dr. Gist for your awesome care!
