One of our favorite things to hear is a new patient who says, Wow! Im not afraid of the dentist anymore!. And thankfully we hear that quite often! AT GFD we love watching a patient transform from someone who is embarrassed to smile into a confident person who stops to take a look in every single mirror that they pass!

I booked my 3:30 "appointment" three weeks in advance, arrived on-time, and finished my intake forms by 3:40. Around 4:30, a patient next to me in the waiting room that had a three o'clock appointment finally gave up and left. While still in the waiting room at 4:50, I overheard Dr. Gaurav Puri telling his receptionist that he's ready to leave for the day. Ten minutes later, I was finally called into a room. While being told that I'll need several X-rays that aren't covered by my insurance, Dr. Puri interrupted the conversation by popping his head into the doorway at 5:10 and said "I'm leaving for the day. You'll need to reschedule." As I responded, "I've been waiting here for almost two hours, are you kidding me?" Dr. Puri turned his back and walked away without saying another word. I was absolutely disgusted and dumbfounded. They could have called and told me I need to rebook before I drove the 35-mile round-trip. They could have told me after sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes, or even after an hour, that they're experiencing delays and that I'll need to book another appointment. After putting me through all that for an hour and forty minutes, Dr. Puri could've at least briefly introduced himself to me and apologized like a professional. This was not only the most unprofessional experience I've ever had with any dentist, it was the worst I've ever been treated by ANY business in my entire life.

Gilmer Family Dental has been an Excellent choice for our family. They work well with our insurance, making appointments and procedures very affordable. Our kids are 11 and 17. Neither of them cares for dental work and our youngest just took four fillings like a champ. Dr. Puri and his assistant, Melanie made her comfortable and took great care of her.

I went in yesterday to see Dr. Puri for my first tooth extraction. Anxiety is an absolute understatement. I requested his assistant Joquanna (probably spelled her name wrong) as she was very comforting my first appointment, and they ensured that she was the one assisting. They were so quick and every time my anxiety shot up, over nothing, they stopped, my husband was with me holding my hands, the assistant she literally was wiping my tears and rubbing my shoulder. Dr. Puri ensured I never saw any equipment whatsoever during the extraction. Today, I had to reach out as the meds I was given were making me nauseous and they were so quick to get with Dr. P and get me some relief. I absolutely hate the dentist, and I know I will still have the anxiety, but I won't be visiting ANYWHERE else. Anxiety and all, I will remain with Dr. P, Joquanna, and GFD!

Incredible! I've had 2 recent visits and I can honestly say this is the best dentist office I have ever been to (and I'm kind of old). The entire staff is welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, understanding, empathetic, and all the other kind words you can think of. I would highly recommend Gilmer Family Dental.

My wife and I used to swear by this place until my last visit. Didn't see Dr. Palmer who I've been seeing every time since going. The other doctor that saw me said that I needed old fillings replaced but did not explain to me in the least why they need to be replaced other than they were old because they're not hurting or having any problems. I guess just because they're old silver fillings but guess what, if it hasn't hurt me in 40 years it's not gonna hurt me now. I guess, because there was no explanation. Other than the fact that it was going to cost me $1000 copay with my insurance. I am a truck driver and I took off of work an entire day to come in and now they want me to come back in for a second visit with the dental hygienist instead of doing it today. And then they want me to come in for a third and fourth visit to see the dentist. I'd go broke and or lose my job doing all of this. Will be finding another dentist and expressing my concerns with them before I even make an appointment. It's a shame too because my wife and I really enjoyed going to this office, Dr Palmer and his staff prior to this. *** completely forgot to mention the other part of the story. The above mentioned visit was me giving them a second chance. My wife and I a couple of years before that I had bought their in-house annual dental insurance which included a G whitening program. Bought this program after we came in for an exam and when we came in for our next visit six months later we were told that our teeth weren't stained enough to qualify for the tooth whitening program. Well, you saw my teeth when I signed up for the program and pushed the tooth whitening program basically paying for the entire year, and now I can't get it? So, went to Walmart and bought Crest tooth whitening strips and did it on my own. We are coffee drinkers and our teeth definitely need to be white.

Gilmer Family Dental and Dr. Puri is the best dentist I have ever been to in my life. The entire staff is friendly and outgoing and extremely helpful. Not only that but they are also efficient and courteous and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I can't express the amazing feelings of satisfaction you feel when going into and leaving the office. Dr Puri and his magnificent staff all make you feel special and welcome.

I have been waiting for a dentist for a while and this office Miss LaVerne and the ladies in the office have to really stepped up and help me get one of my dreams to come true. Being able to smile is one of my greatest accomplishments that I will be doing this time in my life. I want to thank the whole staff at this office that they are amazing for helping someone like me to get any confidence to smile and laugh again thank you so much.

Best dentist I've ever been to!! I'm literally terrified of any sort of dental work and this was quick and painless. The awesome Dr. Talked me through the entire operation and even let my husband hold my hand :) . Thank you all so much I recommend this place to anyone.

I hadn't been to the dentist in many years and was afraid to go. I knew that I was going to need a lot of work on my teeth. Dr. Palmer is amazing. He and his staff are so professional and thoughtful. Dr. Palmer is patient and caring,and I am looking forward to completing my dental work and regular check ups now.

Wonderful doctor and staff! I felt very comfortable and they were extremely caring and understanding. I normally am terrified to go to the dentist but now I am not so scared to go. They truly deserve 10 stars!

I have always been so afraid of going to the dentist....but not anymore! The staff is so friendly and caring. The dentist was the best Ive ever had!!! Someone at my job recommended them and now I see why! Best ever!!! No more being scared. Time to get these teeth fixed! :)

I love this dental office! The employees are very kind and helpful. It has a very relaxed yet professional atmosphere and the entire process took no time at all! Oh, and our dentist is super nice and funny which helps to ease any anxieties we might have had. I am glad this is now my dental office!

I have been going to this dentist for many many years and through that time it has been sold to different people. The new staff is friendly and personable. The Dr was very attentive and kind to not only me as the patient, but also to the staff. A great place to get your dental work done!

Small waiting area. Very little wait time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr Gezzel has awesome bedside manners. The parking lot is much improved.
