We understand that a lot of people are hesitant to go to the dentist because they are afraid that they will not be able to afford it, but we quickly put that concern to rest here at Gillis Dental. Our fees are very competitive for the area, and on top of this, we also accept a long list of PPO dental insurance plans. Each of our dentists graduated from one of the two most prestigious dental schools in the countrythe Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Both of these institutions are lauded for their commitment to using the latest techniques and technology, meaning dentists who complete these programs are able to offer top-level service using the most advanced and proven methods available today. Plus, two of our dentists have also gone on to earn specialty certifications in orthodontics and endodontics, meaning our dental office is able to offer a comprehensive range of services under one roof.

Dr. Ian Fessler is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed his residency at Harvard/Cambridge Health Alliance. He has been practicing dentistry in the Boston area for over a decade and volunteers internationally to provide dental care to underserved communities. He brings his approachable, nature and commitment to overall patient well-being to the dental office. Dr. Fessler lives in the area with his wife Nyesang and their awesome 4-year-old son Kalden, although he isoriginally from Chapel Hill North Carolina where his Dad is a well-known dentist. He is an avid runner and has completed many half Ironmans and 1 full Ironman. We are excited to welcome Dr. Fessler to the team.
Dr. Goldberg received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he was a Merit Scholar, part of the Implant Honors program, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, and won the Tufts Award for Excellence inFixed Prosthodontics. He went on to the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine to specialize in Periodontology.

Appointments are always on time. Staff members are extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Access to the office is easy; I have been a very satisfied patient of this practice for over 35 years!

I have been going to this practice for over 20 years and they are kind, professional and accommodating. Even though Dr. Gillis is no longer practicing, he did an amazing job maintaining the high standards he set when he retired.

Going to the dentist used to be a very uncomfortable experience that I never looked forward too which lead to neglect of my dental hygiene in general. Until I met Dr. Ian Fessler, he is a very skilled and professional and I always am at ease when he is doing my dental work. I have the outmost confidence in him and his track record speaks for itself. I am so thankful for Dr. Fessler and I highly recommend him.

The Gillis Team has done a great job. Dr.Fessler is so pleasant and friendly. He gave me the best advise on my teeth and helped me through the entire procedure with an understanding and patience. I've been going here for years, but today was my first procedure with Dr. Fessler. He was gentle, calm, and communicative during the whole process. His dental assistant, Rhonda, was also excellent, answering my many questions and noticing as soon as I needed suction. Great place to go for things that tend not to be very fun!

Dr Fessler, who runs Gillis Dental in Needham, is wonderful. He is bright, warm and friendly on top of being skillful . His office is attractive, clean and easily accessible with free parking right out front. I highly recommend Dr Fessler's dental practice.

Going as a new patient was very easy; they had my insurance figured out before I arrived. Front desk was awesome and friendly. Doctor and back staff matched the energy of the front staff. Dr Fess did a filling on one of my lower back teeth. Great overall experience.
