Dr. Gildner grew up in the Irmo area as the oldest of 4 boys. His brothers Michael, Luke and Mitchell are still his best friends. He describes his parents (Bob and Cathy Gildner) as AMAZING and from time to time, you may see Bob working with him at Gildner Family Dentistry.
After attending Irmo high school (and playing wide receiver for the Yellow Jackets), Dr. G received his BS in Biology at the University of Clemson. He went on to attend dental school at MUSC and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2012. After graduating from dental school Dr Gildner moved to Chicago where he worked as an Associate Dentist and had the opportunity to learn from some of the best dental mentors the profession has to offer. It was Dr Gildners desire to open his own practice where he could apply this knowledge in a hometown family environment.
Dr Gildner is married to the love of his life Angel Gildner. God has blessed them with two wonderful daughters Daphne and Esme. God is truly good, His will be done! When Dr. G is not performing his dental craft, he is learning what a remarkable gift it is to be a girl dad. Dr. G and his wife share a passion for spirituality, fitness, health and nutrition. Dr Gildner also loves college football and can be found any fall Saturday cheering on his Clemson Tigers!
Allison Ard graduated with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Midlands Technical College in 2020. Before going to Dental Hygiene school, she worked as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant for 11 years. Allison comes from a dental family, her grandfather was a dentist in North Carolina. Her favorite part about working in the Dental Field is building relationships with her patients and making them feel comfortable in the dental chair.
Lindy Garrick has been in the dental field for 24 years. Her main objective is to assist patients in achieving optimal dental health and to make her patients part of our family at Gildner Family Dentistry. Over her 24 years in the dental field Lindy has stayed in touch with all of her dental family members. Lindys patients have stayed with her because they feel her sense of loyalty, caring and trust. Shes excited to be part of her family at Gildner Family Dentistry. In her spare time, Lindy enjoys spending time with her family camping, fishing and the Columbia River Walk.
Lisa is our senior dental assistant. She graduated from University of Toledo in 1985 with her diploma in Expanded Duties Dental Assisting. Lisa has been in the field for 33 years now, when Lisa is not at the office she spends her time with her family and furry friends enjoying any and every kind of adventure. Lisa and Dr. Gildner work hand and hand to deliver a beautiful smile in a comfortable and relaxed dental atmosphere.
Heather Mulholland graduated from Midlands Technical College with her diploma in Expanded Duty Dental Assisting in 2020. Heather is always eager to provide the best customer experience and goes out of her way to ensure comfort. Her passion is people and she loves meeting every new face here at Gildner Family Dentistry.

They all take the time to provide the highest quality treatment possible, from the time you enter until the time you leave. Would recommend this practice. I've had 3 different dentist prior to Dr. Gildner, and unfortunately a lot of cavities since I was a kid. Dr. Gildner just filled 4 cavities for me and he is the only dentist where after the numbing wore off I couldn't tell which teeth he did work on. That's what I want after having work done. With my previous dentists the tooth that got work done always had an odd feeling until I got used to it or would have a gritty feeling. Also the staff is very nice and personable.

I am overly sensitive and anxious when it comes to the dentist. Dr. Gildner is so patient and kind. He and the staff listen. He doesn't do unnecessary work, but is still proactive and explains everything VERY well. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Gildner is simply amazing and the absolute best at what he does, and his staff does not fall short in following his outstanding lead. He is knowledgeable, honest, personable and really cares for his patients! How refreshing is it to have finally found a doctor who actually takes the time to listen to his patients, explain what he has found, treatment options and outcomes, just incredible! I am SO glad I found this practice; I have always been terrified of the dentist and have had some terrible experiences with some, Dr. Gildner has for sure gotten rid of my fears, and gained my trust. Lisa, the senior dental assistant is great, sweet and super detailed and Lindy the Office Manager is attentive, so personable and the best part: she will make sure your bill is accurate, and insurance is processed correctly! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gildner and his wonderful staff, just the best of the best, I totally recommend this office to anyone; if you're looking for a dentist give him a try, I am sure you'll be happy you did!

Gildner Family Dentistry of Lexington 100% captures all aspects of the patient experience. From promptly answering the phone, and yes it's a live person!!! (Friendly, knowledgeable, and sincerely welcoming too). And, you haven't even made it in the door for your appointment yet. Walking in the door you are greeted not by a clipboard or computer device, yet a truly friendly face willing to help you navigate the check in process. Before you can hop on Facebook or eliminate an email another friendly face is welcoming you back to a treatment room. Dr. Gildner is just as easy to talk to as an old friend and engages YOU in your own treatment plan. Dr. Gildner suggest his opinion however, respects your decision as the patient. GFD has sincerely mastered the Golden Rule of simply treating others the way you would like to be treated. I am most grateful to have them for my gators!
