Dr. Gilda Banta has been practicing general dentistry in Huntington Beach since 1995. She continues to advance her knowledge by studying directly with highly acclaimed leaders in different specialties. She remains active in the Orange County, California and American Dental Societies.
Dr. Banta was a part-time clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Dentistry where she also fulfills her continuing education units. She is a Denti-cal consultant for Delta Dental of California. She is also a contractor for Dentrust and Dental Management Health Solutions to do screenings at military events for service members who are being deployed.
Dr. Jayne McKay graduated with high distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. After graduation she was accepted into a post graduate residency program at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center. She practiced dentistry as a sole proprietor in Torrance, CA for over twenty years. Dr. McKay also taught in the dental hygiene department at Cypress College. She has taught subjects such as head and neck anatomy, oral pathology, and pharmacology. She has been a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Harbor Dental Society since graduation and has served on many committees.
Dr. McKay has trained with California Center for Advanced Dental Studies and Frontier Dental Institute. She is currently a member of a Spear Education Study Club which, through continuing education and a trusted network of colleagues, collaborate on cases to give you the best possible outcome. Dr. McKay is a certified provider for Invisalign and Clear Correct clear aligner orthodontic therapy. She is devoted to treating all her patients like family with honesty, integrity, and state of the art dental techniques.
Since 1995, Dr. Gilda Banta has been caring for everyone who has joined this special practice with the help of her wonderful staff. The team consists of Dr. Gilda Banta and two hygienists, Ann Biarbe and Jeannie Yack. Amber Ramirez and NeldaLeon are the dental assistants. NancyThompson and Judy Grady coordinate all patient relations.

Dr Banta was my dentist for years. One who helped get over my anxiety at being at the dentist. I moved out a state several years ago, but on a visit back to SoCal a crown popped off. Her office was able to get me in quickly and save the day. Nobody better!

It was our first time with Dr. Banta. I was Very impressed with the way she did all pre treatment test and then cleaned my teeth. It has been years since a Dentist cleaned my teeth. First rate.

A truly special skill that Dr Banta has is her concern for the (usually nervous) patient in real time. By this I mean she tells you exactly what is happening inside your mouth, "Now you'll be hearing my instrument touch your tooth," or "This will pinch a little but not for more than a second," or "Oh, you'll hear a little sound when I wiggle your tooth--that'll be your bone." It's a big comfort to a patient who is unable to see exactly what's going on but can hear and feel everything that's happening in his/her mouth. A great protocol, Dr. Banta! Thank you.

Dr. Banta is by far the most excellent Dentist I have ever had the pleasure of handling my Dental care needs, and there were a lot of them before I found her office, including a root canal that was done improperly by another Dentist to several cavities and crowns. Thank god I found her office!

Growing up I had terrible experiences with dentists and always dreaded going. Cue crippling anxiety and fear! I made an appointment for my daughter (7) who was experiencing some pain and also had a not so fun experience in the past and was afraid Dr Banta would be the same. I reassured her Dr Banta came HIGHLY recommended by the most amazing colleague (Hi Daniel! THANK YOU!!) and I was sure she'd be in good hands! LONG STORY short she's now BOTH our Dentist and I couldn't be happier! The whole team is great!!!! Linda and Danielle are so sweet and understanding when making appointments, Judy is like the mastermind here and has your back with making sure your coverage is accurate and she's such a Gem! Ann was my most recent hygienist who *chefs kiss* soothes my whole stressed heart and explained things I never thought of before. I feel like I arrived as Fear and left as Joy. Onward and Upward friends! If you're reading this STOP AT THIS REVIEW AND JUST CALL AND MAKE THE APPOINTMENT!!!!!

Dr. Banta and her staff are second to none. When I moved an hour away from her office 12 years ago I could have chosen a dentist closer to me, but I didn't because of the great experiences I have always had with Dr. Banta and staff. Customer service is awesome and the work she does is top notch. You will not find a better dentist anywhere in my opinion. Judy at the front desk is also a gem of a person. She is always thorough with insurance claims and is on top of what my plan covers and communicates the information to me so there are no surprises after the visit.

The Huntington Harbour area is sooo fortunate to have quality dentistry available! Dr. Banta recently took care of my awful looking front tooth - accidentally damaged - but, beautifully repaired. Thank you, Dr. Banta!

Sometimes I forget Dr. Banta is a Dentist not a farmer because she does so well with "chickens"! From the minute you walk in the door of her office, the mood is set for a welcoming and relaxing experience. Dr. Banta is patient, understanding and respectful of the decisions you make in regards to your teeth. Her team follows up diligently and works hard to find days/times that will work for all schedules. Nothing less than 5 Stars would reflect Dr. Gilda Banta and her staff.

Going to Dr. Banta has the best dental experience I've ever had, if I could give her more stars, I would. My teeth had gotten into bad shape, but I'd been afraid to go to a dentist. Dr. Banta (and everyone at her office) was really great at dealing with my fearfulness. She was gentle and kind, explained everything clearly, let me keep deciding what work I agreed to, proceeding at a pace that I could handle. I went from phobic to excited about my new smile, and how great my teeth could look. I had to show my family and friends with before and after pictures. They were all wowed at the improvement. I'm no longer self conscious and hiding my mouth, I'm now smiling big and showing everyone my great new smile.

Best dentist ever! We are 3 generations of families who have been so grateful for Dr. Banta's kindness, flexibility, precision, and generosity. For example, another dentist made me a mouth guard that chipped my tooth when I was out of state, and she immediately got me in, fixed my tooth, fixed the mouth guard too! a serious dream come true. She always goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and I know she'll do the same for others. Thank you!!

Been seeing dr Banta for over 15 years, even commuted when I lived in LA for 9 years. Excellent service from her and the staff. My parents also see her all the way from Hemet.
