Dr. Gilbert decided to pursue a career in orthodontics after visiting Dr. Brawleys office while in college. She could see the incredible changes Dr. Brawley was able to create in his patients, and she desired to do the same!
Dr. Gilbert is a native of Birmingham and earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, she was awarded the Leon M. Schneyer Award for the highest scholastic achievement in the basic sciences, the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, and the Alpha Omega Scholarship Award, for achieving the highest scholastic average in her class. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the dental honor fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
