Dr. Gilbert decided to pursue a career in orthodontics after visiting Dr. Brawleys office while in college. She could see the incredible changes Dr. Brawley was able to create in his patients, and she desired to do the same!
Dr. Gilbert is a native of Birmingham and earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, she was awarded the Leon M. Schneyer Award for the highest scholastic achievement in the basic sciences, the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, and the Alpha Omega Scholarship Award, for achieving the highest scholastic average in her class. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the dental honor fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
At Gilbert Orthodontics we are dedicated to the care of all of our patients and their orthodontic needs. The members of our staff have been with the practice for over many years and are highly qualified. We work closely with Dr. Gilbert to ensure that your experience is personal, and that you receive the best care and support throughout your treatment.

All 5 of my children and myself have had braces from Dr Brawley. Dr. Gilbert has been a great addition and we have loved getting to know her! Highly recommend Brawley and Gilbert for a wonderful smile!!

My daughter and my wife both came here for braces. Everyone here is always friendly and helpful. My daughter has even gotten to where she enjoys coming for a visit!

I'm actually the wife (Taylor Hawkins) and I'm the one who has them but for some reason I can't log out of his account. Anyways!! I was very worried that since I decided to get orthodontic treatment late in the game that I would have a lot of problems. I ADORE both Drs. Gilbert and Brawley. They have been an abundant resource of information and have made this transition very smooth for me. Peter is super helpful in the financial department and the other staff members are super friendly and polite. They have been very reasonable as far as payments too. I would highly reccomend them to anyone! Even the older ones like me!

This is the most AMAZING group you will ever meet. I used them for my braces several years ago and all 4 of my kids are using them. The staff is top notch and the orthodontists are one of a kind. Not only do they do the best work but the people are so kind and they make your experience fun. I love how they make each one of your children feel special!!

As soon as we walked in the door, i knew i had chosen the right place for my daughter. Of course she was nervous, but that soon changed when she was welcomed by Jana's warm smile at the front desk. Jana walked us through the whole experience and introduced us to Dr. Brawly and Dr. Gilbert. They made her laugh and feel completely at ease. April and Dr. Gilbert applied the braces with ease and compassion and my daughter left feeling like she'd been at the spa for the morning. First class experience from beginning to end.....and even the chairs were super comfy for an anxious dad.
