Dr. Marcia Gilbert was born in Monterey, California into a Navy family. Her family relocated to Washington, D.C., where she attended Catholic school and completed her secondary education. She graduated fromHoward University College of Dentistry (School of Dental Hygiene) in 1982 and practiced as a Licensed Dental Hygienist for 11 years.
In 1996 she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (Baltimore College of Dental Surgery). After graduation, she joined theUnited States Air Force Dental Corps and served for three years. She has been in practice for over 20 years in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.
She continues to remain current with the new dental trends and techniques in her profession. For relaxation, she enjoys gardening, art & crafts, and baking. Dr. Gilbert is married to a career Air Force veteran and has a large extended family in the metropolitan area.

Cecelia is our Office Manager and has been a team member for ten years. She enjoys caring and getting to know each patient. Cecelia brings 20-plus years of dental experience, in all phases of dentistry. She is a native Washingtonian and enjoys, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Dimple is one of our Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). A graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree, and from Baltimore City Community College where she earned a Dental Hygiene Degree. She has over ten years in the dental profession. She was born in India and moved to the United States over 20 years ago. Dimple loves to laugh and smile, bringing ease to her patients. She enjoys watching movies and spending time with her family.
Tequea is the newest member of our team. She is very interactive and engages with the patients and is very passionate about her position as a dental assistant. During her free time, she enjoys spending it with her children and traveling as often as possible.

I'm so glad that I found Dr Gilbert, I had been nervous to visit a dentist after 6 years but I have always had a great experience since visiting Dr Gilbert. Every procedure I have had has been painless and everyone is professional, so kind and caring. Every area is always clean as well. My last appointment with the Gilbert dental family was extremely comfortable. Dr. Gilbert was warm and very gentle. Cecelia is very knowledgeable, professional, and warm. I believe I've found a dental family that will be understanding of my sensitivities.

Dr. Gilbert's office is great. They are patient and courteous. Coming in the front door with Cecilia's smile and pleasant demeanor to the assistant walking me back to Dr. Gilbert's care with my teeth and gums and even to the advice with my children's dental care, it is always an appreciative visit. She is running a well-oiled machine in Silver Spring!
