Dr. Sergio Enrique Lopez was born in McAllen, Texas and raised in Reynosa, Mexico. Dr. Lopez received a Bachelor of Biology from the University of Texas Pan-American. Go Broncs! He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch. Dr. Lopez completed a two-year residency program receiving his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Laredo Extension. Dr. Lopez is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist since September 2014. He is certified in both Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Professionally, Dr. Lopez is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Rio Grande Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Andrea Vargas-Garcia was born in the Bronx, New York on National Dentist Day. From the age of 3, she has dreamt of becoming a dentist. Dr. Vargas received her Doctor of Dentistry from the Universidad Iberoamericana, then in 2018 she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA, and went on to earn her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Vargas has devoted time to 4 mission trips that have taken her all over the world. Shes aided the communities of Cotui, Dominican Republic; Kunming, China; Santa Apolonia, Guatemala and Vieques, Puerto Rico.
Dr. Vargas finds that the most rewarding part of pediatric dentistry is having the ability to make a positive impact in the lives of patients by contributing to their overall health through their oral health. She is personally committed to never stop seeking the greater good and well-being of her patients. She believes that all patients deserve the highest standard of care.

I can't stop telling everyone how amazing dr Andrea Vargas is! So patient! So calming. So understanding and zero judgment. My son feels so comfortable with her. Today he was too scared to do a procedure and Dr. Vargas was so calm and understanding.

After visiting several pediatric dentistries Dr. Lopez is not one to automatically suggest surgery but find alternatives to children needs. He is very patient and understanding towards parents and children. He treats your kids as if they were his own. I'm grateful to have found a good dentist in the RGV.

Always a pleasure seeing Dr. Lopez. He first helped us when we couldn't find a dentist after Thanksgiving, and my son had fallen and broken a tooth. Years later, we had another emergency issue and they fit us in to make sure my son's tooth was doing well. We were seen promptly. I always recommend him to new parents.

I love Dr. Lopez! He's so patience and sweet to my kiddos. Definitely puts the kids first and makes sure they feel completely comfortable! My son is no longer scared of the dentist. I wish I would of found this place when he was younger. 10/10 would recommend!

Went to this dentist based on reviews we were told my daughter had 9 cavities that needed to be filled I am glad I got a second opinion went to Little heroes and they found 3 cavities which they filled. Basically my daughter would of had unnecessary work done and based on reviews we are not the first family that experiences this.
