Giggles and Grins Pediatric Dentistry - Pediatric dentist in Broadview Heights, OH

Hi, I am Dr. Rebecca Kucera, but all the children call me Dr. Becky. First, let me sayit is my pleasure and my passion to work with your children and talk with them about their dental health in a safe and fun environment.

I am a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. I chose to specialize in pediatric dentistry, andcompleted my residency at MetroHealth Medical Center/Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

The diverse population I cared for at my rigorous pediatric residency program and then five more years of experience in private practice have prepared me for any situation I may encounter in the dental office. I have extensive experience with hospital dentistry and general anesthesia, and can provide comprehensive care to medically compromised patients.

We recognize that all of our young patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your child to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

We know healthy smiles start early and play a crucial role in a childs life. Beyond aesthetics, establishing oral health is important for overall wellness, proper nutrition, word formation, and development.

For us, achieving healthy smiles starts with patience and kindness. We expect kids to be kids and treasure each ones individuality. We meet them where they are, developmentally and emotionally, and adapt to their needs. It is not uncommon for us to spend more time hand-holding, listening to, and talking with a child, than it does for the actual dental procedure!

Weve designed Giggles and Grins to appeal to children, with iPads on the walls in our reception area and the best collection of childrens dental books available. Our treatment rooms feature child-sized chairs and have TVs on the ceiling, so children can watch a movie if they like.

Giggles and Grins Pediatric Dentistry, in Broadview Heights, serves Brecksville, Cleveland, and surrounding communities. We are excited to welcome your child and you to our dental family: we cant wait to see your little ones grin! Contact us to schedule a visittoday!

Took my grandchildren for check-ups at the Dentist. The office staff and Dentist were very polite and professional. The waiting room had toys and a children's movie playing to entertain them. There was a 2nd waiting room in the back in case the front one gets too crowded. The Dentist explained in detail everything about their check-ups, after the visits were over.

Dr. Becky and her whole staff make going to the dentist fun! Whether it is a routine cleaning or filling a cavity, they educate the family without any judgement. My kids are so happy to be recognized on their "No Cavity Club" photo wall! We are so happy to have found Giggles and Grins.

Due to insurance changes my son had to leave his dentist we have been seeing for years. I explained to the staff that my son has a chronic fear of dentists and doctors. On his last visit due to dental work he had to have done I was not allowed to be in the room with him. He had been in the room for a very long amount of time and I hadn't heard a word from them as to what was going on. Apparently in the time he was back there my son had a severe panic attack while sedated and instead of notifying me they continued to do the dental work trying to contain him and calm him down themselves. He had even asked multiple times for his mother and they refused allowing him to see me and continued to handle things on their own because it was vital they get the work done to not interfere with other patients time slots. After everything I was then lectured on maybe it's time for him to see an adult dentist for his own good because they could not help him due to not wanting to sedate him in future procedures in the event he has another episode. Thanks to this visit 10 years of growth with the dentist is now down the drain. If your child has any issues with receiving treatment or fears you do not want to go here.

Love Dr Becky and so do both of my kids. They have been coming to the office for 4 years. This most recent year my insurance is out of network and I still chose to stay with the office and pay because we had such good experiences there. However I am very disappointed with their policies for cancellations and about being charged $75 for last min cancellations due to illness (which I was hoping would clear up so my daughters didn't have to miss their appointment!). I would think in this day with all going on with Covid there would be some empathy for not wanting to bring my child in sick. I'm sure as busy as this office is, my missed appointments FOR ILLNESS are not going to put anyone out of business. Thank you for making me realize we are just $$ for you. I do not need to pay extra for out of network and drive 40 min there to feel like a number. Best wishes!

Absolutely love this dentist for my kiddos. My oldest has always been traumatized to go to doctors and dentists and Dr. Becky made her feel right at home and my daughter always looks forward to going back. We love how kind and friendly all staff members are there and throughly inform us with any information needed. I highly recommend Giggles and grins!

The Dentist at this practice doesn't understand what PPE means in COVID 19 era! She pulls her mask down to talk to kids and discuss with parents at the end of the procedure! That defeats all the good cleaning your staff does and masking purpose. Also, they don't update parents when your child is in a procedure for more than an hour! The dental assistant brings your child a the end of the procedure, you go pay and leave! Also, she explains things that are obvious and common sense. Most of people who can afford a pediatric dentist are well educated. Please mask up (cover your nose and mouth) as long as you are around patients and visitors.

"Tears and Frowns" after November 2020. After a routine exam in February, we were told our older daughter had a few 'small cavities on soft spot defects'. Their earliest next appointment(s) to treat them were April, cancelled due to COVID, then both rescheduled for mid/late November. We take her from school (in person at the time) for her first appointment, show up 30 minutes early, and were told our appointment was cancelled!! They claimed they were unable to contact us to 'confirm the appointment' so they removed her from the schedule. We had no missed call, voicemail, text, OR email. And why is this a practice anyway, it's an 'appointment' people. Charge a missed appointment fee for 'no shows'. We had two appointments because they said it was an extensive issue, so two weeks later we have two cavities filled. 1hr 45min without an update, parents are not allowed back to support their children, and then afterward my daughter and I belittled in the most condescending tone for my daughter having cavities. To an adult, not a child: "They are permanent teeth, that means her adult teeth." "Your next appointment is in January, would you like us to write that down?" (As if the prior screw up was MY fault) "Her face is numb, she WILL eat her face if you feed her before it wears off." The whole time the Dentist's mask is hanging below her nose. This is with my daughter standing at our feet, head down in shame. We found a new dentist who got us in that week to address the rest of her teeth. 4 weeks later the bottom filling done by Giggles and Grins is still sore to chew on. New dentist does an Xray and finds an air pocket requiring a corrective procedure/refilling. Do not take your children here.

I trust Dr Kucera. She is competent, honest and down to earth. I can easily reach her in case of an emergency or a concern. The new Hygienist , (forgot her name) who cleaned my kids teeth, did an amazing job. Best cleaning they ever had. She is professional, brilliant and thorough. I look forward to have her again next routine visit for my kids. The front desk staff did an amazing job during the pandemic. I recommend giggles and grins without reservation.

Excellent care! Dr. Becky and her staff are fantastic! They are great with my kiddos. Very understanding and help you through the process. My youngest needed some pretty extensive work, and the team worked with us to have this completed in a timely manner, even during the pandemic. She accepts most insurance plans, and when we did go over and had to pay out of pocket, it was really very reasonable. After the procedure, Dr. Becky called to check on her, which was much appreciated. Highly recommend!!!!

My son has feared the dentist since he started going. His last visit completely traumatized him and he didn't go for years. The staff at Giggles & Grins were VERY understanding and compassionate from the time I called to schedule the appointment until we left the office! The hygienist took the time to hear his concerns and they knew exactly what to do to ensure he was comfortable. Dr. Becky was just as upbeat, caring, and considerate as her staff! She was very detailed in her report with me as well our plan of action. I am more than pleased with this office and my son is even happier we found a dentist that, "cares about my feelings".

My kids and I had an awesome experience at Giggles & Grins! Everyone we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. This is true even before actually entering the office. Every time I spoke with someone on the phone prior to my children's appointments, I was met with great service! They were thorough and efficient and my kids enjoyed their experience! Thank you! See you at our next appointment!

We had visited another pediatric dentist twice before coming here and it was an absolute nightmare. I checked all the reviews on Giggles and Grins before I came and everyone had raving reviews. They are accurate. My son didn't shed a single tear! Compared to last time where we had to practically pin him down for a cleaning. They were professional and nice! Dr. Becky made even me feel all warm and fuzzy. This is the perfect place for children. To see other kids there excited to be at the dentist and to see Dr. Becky was amazing.

We love Dr Becky! My daughter is always asking when she gets to come back. She's nice, gentle and explains everything to us and I non-judgmental. Wish I would've had Giggles and Grins as a child.
