Dr. Michael Giebenhain graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2008 at which time he received the operative award, given to the most technically proficient student in the graduating class. Since then, Dr. Mike has completed extensive post doctoral training in oral surgery and the placement of dental implants. He has performed hundreds of successful dental implant cases. Dr. Mike is also our go to guy for root canals, and full mouth reconstructions.Practicing dentistry has been very rewarding for me. I love the challenge of combining artistry with function. The satisfaction of restoring people's oral health and creating good dental experiences gives everyone something to smile about!
Giebenhain Dental Associates, P.A. has been providing dental care to Minneapolis and the western suburbs since 1979. Dr. John Giebenhain is a native of Golden Valley, and graduated from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. John and his wife have lived in Plymouth for 30 years where they raised three sons. His expertise in family centered dentistry is coupled with genuine concern for his patients.
My practice philosophy has been a simple one: to treat others the way I would like to be treated myself. I believe that, by offering options and educating patients, we become partners in deciding which treatment path to follow. We strive to listen to what our patients want, based on sound information. This philosophy has always worked well for me at the office, and in my everyday life, as well.

The entire staff at Creekside Family Dental are all very nice and friendly! They always take the time to explain things to me and to answer all of my questions. I feel like I'm very well cared-for at Creekside.

This was my first time here. Due to Covid and generally just being a negligent person, I hadn't been to the dentist in four years. Needless to say I was nervous about what might happen. It turns out I don't need all of my teeth replaced! Everyone I dealt with from the receptionist to the hygienist to Dr. Giebenhain himself was easy going and professional. I'm happy to have found my new place.

I received excellent care in what was to be just a routine 6 month exam/cleaning. A small filling was needed and was able to have it done right after my exam, no future visit needed!

Absolutely awesome. I had a crown come off and they were able to put it back on! No automatically making a new one! And they got me in the same day. This is caring for the person! So happy to be back in town to go here again! 10 stars, 5 are not enough!

This practice is so amazing! I have been a patient for almost 20 years. I have moved several times and currently drive over 30 minutes to go there. All of the staff are great!

Once again they exceeded expectations. Their setup for Covid-19 is thorough but not in the way. I appreciated Carla's extra care especially to an area of sensitivity in my mouth and the dentist, too, did not jump in to doing work that was not absolutely necessary. This is the place to be for dental care.

I feel that your staff was very thorough and I felt comfortable with the diagnosis. I am looking forward to the results of the work that must be done. I have felt that I was abandon by my former Dentist and I did not know where to turn. Fortunately, my son, Ben, came to the rescue and called your office. Thank you for accepting my plea for service.

I'm 71, so I've visited many dental offices in my life. This group is skilled, kind and very good! I thoroughly enjoy visiting with them and I'm always impressed by their knowledge and care. They set a very high standard for themselves in quality of dental work and patient comfort.

Getting one's teeth cleaned requires being still and tolerating a little discomfort in a chair. But the chair is comfortable and the dentist and hygienist friendly, professional and helpful. I know of no better dental experience.

I took my 91 year old mother in law to be seen by this group of friendly individuals to have her remaining teeth cleaned and dentures/partial examined. She has not been to the dentist in 29 years. All went well and needs a few fillings. Let's just say, I think her fear of the dentist has lessened immensely and will be returning for her remaining work, thanks to this these friendly faces.

I have been coming to Giebenhain dental for years and today I brought my 3 year old twins for their first appointment-- I had serious doubts about how much one of my kids would allow but the staff was so patient and wonderful with him that he was smiling, happy and comfortable enough to do everything they asked of him! Sharyn was amazing and they keep talking about how they can't wait to go back again!
