Dr. Chad is a general dentist that offers a comprehensive list of procedures including working with kids and adults and doing crowns, fillings, implants, extractions, cleanings and root canals. Dr. Chad was born and raised in Williams, CA until his father Dr. Clay Gidel built the dental practice in Colusa. Dr. Chad attended Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health where he received his DMD degree. Dr. Chad moved back to Yuba City and took over his fathers practice in 2017. Dr. Chad enjoys spending time with his family and friends and loves to travel and explore new places with his wife and two kids.

I graduated from Maxwell High School in 1992. Following graduation, I attended Yuba Community College, then Western Career College for dental assisting. Upon graduation, I attended Western Career College and became a certified Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), I worked many years for a busy oral surgeon in the Yuba/Sutter area. I had the pleasure of joining Dr. Clay Gidels team in 2001 until his retirement in 2018. At that time his son, Dr. Chad Gidel took over the practice. I received my Postgraduate Training License from the University of San Francisco (UCSF) in 2004.

Working in the dental field is a rewarding and fulfilling career. There is joy caring for patients and helping them. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with patients in both the front and back office. I love that my job changes the lives of patients, and I have developed strong connections that inspire me not only on the job, but in life. I have been married to my husband since 1997, and we are blessed to have two daughters and one son. When I am not working, my time is spent with family and friends. I love traveling, cooking, shopping, and taking sports photography for Colusa High School. My hobbies and interests include paper crafting and card making.

I grew up knowing I wanted to be a Dental Hygienist. My dad, Dr. Clay Gidel would talk about the career and how he thought I would make a perfect fit. I love the patient interaction that comes with being a dental hygienist. Knowing that I can help someone better their oral hygiene which in turn betters their overall health is what continues my love for this profession. My family started in Williams where my fathers first practice was. When I was three years old, we moved to Yuba City and my dad opened the practice in Colusa. I ended up going to Sutter High School, then got my associates in science at Yuba College. After that I attended Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz to study Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2017. I started working for my dad, Dr. Clay Gidel, in 2018. My brother, Dr. Chad Gidel, soon became my boss and I have loved it. Many patients ask how it is working for my brother and all I can say is I really respect and believe in his core values as a dentist. At Gidel Family Dental we strive to put the patients needs first and always want everyone to feel comfortable and welcomed.

I have been with my Husband since sophomore year of high school and we have two amazing sons. When I am not working my husband and I do a lot of house projects and enjoy our two dogs and family time. We recently moved onto two acres and expect to grow into a mini farm, with animals and gardens.

My love for dentistry started at an early age, wandering the rooms of my dads office in Williams, which later moved here to Colusa. Watching his interaction with patients and the passion him and his staff had, sparked my interest in the dental field. After graduating Sutter Union High School in 2007, I went on to complete my prerequisites for dental hygiene school at Butte College. In 2016 I completed my Dental Hygiene program at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz and moved to Sacramento to start my journey in the dental field.

After 4 years practicing in Sacramento, I started a family of my own and am now a mother to a beautiful baby girl. This life changing experience led me to move back home to Yuba city to be near family. This was the best decision I ever made because it gave me the opportunity to work where my passion for this field began, at my dads office that my brother has taken over. I love hygiene and all that it allows me to do. I love building personal relationships with all my patients and provide the standard of care that my dad would be proud of. The best part about being with this practice is that I get to not only work along side my brother, but as well as my sister, and the amazing team members who are becoming more and more like family every day! Hello my name is Rachelle Lopez i was born in Walnut Creek CA and raised in Knighsten CA, a very small town like Colusa. I graduated Liberty high school in Brentwood CA in 2013 and immediately after I went to dental assisting school at Carrington College in Pleasant Hill CA. I knew my passion was dentistry, ever since I was a little girl I loved going to the dentist. I have been in the field for 7 years now. The best part of my job is helping patients feel confident about there smile and there well being. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and making wonderful memories. I enjoy going on Harley rides with my boyfriend and I also enjoy riding my horse when I can! I live in Colusa CA with my boyfriend and our son and I am so happy to be working with Dr Gidel who serves the county we live in.

I am so grateful to be a part of the team at Gidel Family Dentistry! I was born and raised in Colusa County and have been coming here since I was a kid. I graduated from Maxwell High in 2012 and moved on to Shasta College where I played softball. In 2018, I graduated from Carrington College and immediately came to work for Gidel Family Dentistry. I always knew I wanted to work in an atmosphere where giving and kindness serve a purpose and Gidel Family Dentistry is all that and more. Coming to work every day knowing that what we do helps people become more confident and happier is what motivates me. When Im not in the back working with patients, I love to be outdoors, shopping, hanging out with my family, and playing sports with my son Vincent and Fianc Nick.

Dr. Chad Gidel earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree and certificate in public health form Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona. He obtained his Business and Biology degree from California State University Sacramento. Dr Gidel grew up in Williams California and moved to Sutter where he attended Sutter High school.

Dr. Gidel holds an international College of Dentists Leadership Award, Endodontic Achievement Award, and an Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award. Since achieving these awards, Dr. Gidel has spent a significant amount of time obtaining continuing education in Implant dentistry. Dr. Gidel completed Implant Pathway which focuses entirely on the surgical placement of dental implants and overdentures. Dr. Gidel prides himself on being able to offer a broad range of procedures so that he can take care of his patients.

Dr. Gidel is married and has two kids. If he is not playing and doing projects with them, you can find him outdoors where he loves to hunt and fish. Dr. Chad loves to travel with family and friends and has been lucky enough to scuba dive in Belize and Australia.
