FEWER TROUBLES DOWN THE ROAD- LANAP does not include the major loss of gum tissue that traditional surgery almost always involves. This tissue loss can lead to more sensitive teeth, since your roots are exposed. Also, if the treatment needs to be performed again in the future, you have not removed the bone and gums during the first treatment with LANAP. Typically, with LANAP, any gum tissue loss is actually reduced swelling of the area from the inflammation being relieved.
SHORT RECOVERY Many patients find that they have less than a 24 HOUR RECOVERY period, so you wont lose time from work. Healthy Smiles will recommend a soft diet for a few days. In most cases, patients feel fine right after the procedure.

Dr. Daniel J. Gibbons is an Arizona native. He earned his doctorate from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, considered one of the nations oldest and top dental schools.

Dr. David Gibbons was raised in Mesa, Arizona and attended Arizona State University for his undergraduate studies. He completed his dental degree at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California.
Dr. Gibbons is passionate about the value of quality dental care and brings this strong commitment to each and every patient. He is a member of the American Dental Association, a fellow in the Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Academy of General Dentistry, and Arizona Dental Association. Dr. Gibbons has gained expertise in CEREC in-office crowns, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, implants, and Invisalign. In order to provide even more for his patients and avoid sending them elsewhere for the help they need, Dr. Gibbons attends the latest continuing dental education courses. He understands the patient is the most important person in the dental office and is committed to excellence in his dentistry work, yet always exemplifying kindness and compassion.
Dr. Gibbons enjoys spending time with his wife, Emi, and their two kids, Olivia and Grant. In his spare time, he enjoys weightlifting, playing the guitar, going to the shooting range, reading and going to the movies. He speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish.
Dr. Junius Gibbons graduated in 1977 with a double B.S. degree in microbiology and zoology from Brigham Young University. He then went on to the University of the Pacific Dental School and graduated cum laude in 1981. He was inducted into the TKO Dental Honor Society in 1979. He has been an active member of the Arizona Craniomandibular Study Group (TMJ/TMD) since 1991.

Everyone from the office staff, hygienists, and dentists are all amazing. Their office is great at communication and they have a lot of fun working together. So the office environment is pleasant. I've been with dr. Dan gibbons for many years. He is a great dentist and very gentle. I highly recommend gibbons dental!

I've been a part of the Gibbons Dental family for a couple years now, and i am so grateful! Christine is my lovely dental hygienist. I see her every 4 months, and without fail she is always so happy to see me. She is so sweet, and very very caring. You can tell she appreciates her work! And i super appreciate her!

My tooth extraction went so good! Amanda, the assistant was so kind and put up with my constant nervous chatter, And made me feel so comfortable and alleviated my fear. Dr David Gibbons is an exceptionally good dentist, got that nasty tooth out very quickly. I was treated with kindness and concern and the treatment I received was the best in the field. Thank you!

Referred to Gibbons Dental by their family member- we are always treated with courtesy and kindness; they've made my kids feel safe and secure when dental procedures are usually something they get extremely anxious about.

This is the biggest joke of a practice!!!! If I could give zero stars I would!!!! After finally thinking I found a dentist worth referrals. Dr. Gibbons after doing x rays and going over my dental plan and scheduling for my apt. I explain I may be wanting vaneers after I fix everything and his response was to give me a quote in which I told him I can't afford them here (single mom 2 kids) if I do get them I wanted to use a well known dentist is Mexico that had done many of my friends. Today 8/12/22 I received 4 back to back phone calls from his office because I didn't answer due to the fact that I was checking in for surgery at the hospital. So I call back and she informs me Dr. Gibbons said he is not going to do any of my treatment or cleanings because I WANT to get vaneers from a dentist in Mexico and I am not going to pay thousands more and go to him. I asked "SO because I want to have vaneers one day and I can't afford Dr.Gibbons to do it and need to go to a Dr. Mexico where I can afford it he doesn't want to continue and finish my treatment?" Her response was "Yes he won't finish your treatment. If you want your treatment done he said to have the dr in Mexico do it" Like really!?! What a damn joke refusing to finish someone's treatment because they are forced to use a different dentist due to not being able to afford Dr. Gibbons to do it

I was terribly afraid of the dentist my entire life until today. Now I'm excited to have a smile I can be proud of. I can't put my finger on what makes this experience different but you will notice the difference immediately.

I was referred to this place by a frequent and long time customer of the original Dr. Gibbons. I heard many good things about this place. I had a very difficult time making an appointment due to my work schedule and being an out of town worker. They managed to get me in within two months. Took awhile but they still managed to get me in. My experience: I arrive 35 minutes early with no one in the waiting room. Four people walked in within the 35 minutes to my appointment and were immediately sent back for dental work to be performed. They did send someone out for me at 11am almost exactly. I get my teeth cleaned and examined by the Dr. Gibbons and all was great. I was told I need deep cleaning (do not know the dental term) this was going to cost me out of pocket $450+ and my great PPO BCBS insurance covers 90% . They tell me insurance will pay $200+ and I need to pay the $450+. I ask what about my insurance, it should cover 90%. They tell me it does not cover the use of a laser? What insurance should cover 90% of the procedure no matter what they use. I do not go further with the deep cleaning, will go to my original dentist. Then at check out they want to charge me for Fluoride which I did not ask for. Nor did they tell me when they put it on my teeth it there was going to be an additional charge. They did end up removing it from my end of visit charge, I could tell by the receptionist body language she was not happy. I was not a happy customer with this establishment. I will go back to my original dentist in East Mesa. Apparently this new laser they use is high tech and the customer pays for it not insurance?

I had the best experience here. The dental hygienist was amazing, explained everything as she went along. The dentist was great, he gave me options to everything I asked about getting done and what needed to be done. Absolutely no pressure!!! They were gentle, especially when I told them about bad past experiences. Yes, they acrually listened!!! The reception went over all financial details to where I could understand them. I definitely recommend them, especially if you have a fear of dentists.

The staff here are great. I had my adult braces done here and I get compliments about my teeth all the time. I have high anxiety with dentist visits and have been looking for a dentist that could put me at ease. This is definitely the place! All of the staff is great!! The dentists are all very kind and knowledgeable and my hygienist is outstanding! The prices are reasonable and you always know what to expect. I'm so happy I've finally found a dentist I can trust with my care.
