Naomi is our Practice Administrator and has been working in the dental field since 2002. She strives to make dentistry understandable and affordable for every patient. Naomi has completed numerous hours of continuing education in order to equip herself to best serve our patients including training at the prestigious Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale, AZ. She also has extensive dental knowledge and her experience in the financial and management areas of our practice makes her an excellent asset to our team.

Kristen graduated from The Sage College of Albany with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and minor in Communications. She previously worked in a multi-specialty dental practice in Boston where she developed a passion for all aspects of the dental field and patient care. Kristen relocated back to the Capital Region to be closer to her family and to continue working in the dental environment. She enjoys working closely with patients to ensure they receive the best treatment and a consistently positive experience at each visit.

Kim is a 1982 graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program at Hudson Valley Community College, and an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. She has been an instrumental part of this practice for over 34 years, and has developed a trusting relationship with our patients while achieving the highest level of oral health. Kim has completed training at the Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale, AZ as well as obtaining licensure for expanded duties. She attends many continuing education classes and is always striving to gain more knowledge for the benefit of her patients.

Madalyn is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated with honors from SUNY Canton with a degree in Dental Hygiene of Applied Sciences. She is patient-focused, driven to provide a personable experience along with the highest quality of care possible. Madalyn enjoys building relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health. She has extensive experience and advanced training in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide and laser therapy. Although Madalyn has spent the majority of her career helping adults achieve optimal dental wellness, she is finding that her real passion is in providing care to children. Madalyn is excited to have a career that she loves and is grateful to be working with such an amazing team at Gialanella Family Dentistry.

Jenn graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Hudson Valley Community College in 2007. She attends numerous continuing education courses to keep up with the latest methods, materials and emerging technologies. She has been certified in the use of nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Jenn also has an interest in studying the links between gum disease and overall systemic health. She has been a welcomed asset to our practice since 2016.

Kate is a registered dental hygienist who graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene of Applied Sciences. She is certified in the use of nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. She is passionate about attending continuing education courses to further her ability and provide the best care possible for her patients. Her top priority is to help each patient achieve optimal oral health. She prides herself on making them feel comfortable during their regular dental visits and designing home care strategies to help maintain their dental health between professional cleanings.

Lorraine graduated Green Mountain College in 1979 with an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting. She is nationally certified, New York State licensed, and has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education over the years. She is energetic and enthusiastic about dentistry and always willing to go the extra mile for her patients.

Nicole has been working as an assistant in the dental field since 2001. She completed her Certified Dental Assistant Degree at Hudson Valley Community College which has enabled her to broaden her scope of patient care. She is also cross-trained on the administrative side of our practice. She is extremely proud to be a part of a dynamic team of professionals and enjoys working in an environment that promotes continuous learning and innovation. Nicoles versatility and attention to detail make her a valuable member of our team.

Maria has been working as a dental assistant since 1995. She is exceptionally qualified as she was a dentist in Colombia prior to moving to the United States. She has experience in assisting in specialty offices for root canals. She also has a keen eye for the esthetic side of dentistry. Maria is bilingual and enjoys working in an atmosphere that is always striving to be on the cutting edge of dental technology while delivering the highest level of treatment.

Stephanie has over 30 years experience in the dental field. She received her certificate in Dental Assisting from Monroe Community College. She enjoys getting to know each patient and providing a personal touch for each patient encounter. Stephanie appreciates the team approach to providing the highest level of care possible.

Dr. Gialanella is extremely dedicated to the overall health and well being of his patients. He believes each patients individual needs should be carefully assessed and adequate time given to discuss their dental conditions and options. He is always available to his patients and prides himself on offering them the highest level of dentistry. It is his mission to create a strong dentist-patient relationship and then execute modern, comprehensive dentistry.

Dr. Gialanella completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Siena College. He attended NYU College of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. degree. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. Upon completing the residency program he was chosen to serve as chief resident for an additional year. During these two years, Dr. Gialanella gained valuable experience in the areas of full mouth rehabilitation, implant restoration, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontal surgery, TMJ therapy, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Following the post-graduate training program, Dr. Gialanella returned to the Albany area and began practicing at his current location. Since entering private practice, he has completed over 1500 hours of continuing education. This coursework includes certification as an Invisalign provider in 2004. In 2004, he also completed a continuum at the Pankey Institute, an advanced continuing dental education center.

In July of 2010, Dr. Gialanella completed a four year continuing education course of study through the Orognathic Bioesthetic Institute. The Orognathic Bioesthetic Institute(OBI) is a not-for-profit institute that provides courses for general dentists and dental specialists based on the research and philosophies of Dr. Robert Lee. After attending numerous lectures and presenting several cases completed in our office Dr. Gialanella presented his final case, a full mouth rehabilitation that he performed for a patient of his practice. This lecture marked the end of the course of study through OBI and placed Dr. Gialanella in an elite group of less than four hundred dentists worldwide that have completed this training.

Dr. Gialanella is also a member of Capital District Continuum for Advanced Dental Education, a local study group affiliated with the Seattle Study Group. He has been a member of this group for the past thirteen years. This unique study group allows general dentists and specialists to meet and review their current cases. This group also recruits some of the top speakers in the dental field for its lectures. His commitment to continuing education has allowed Dr. Gialanella to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry offering his patients the highest level of care.

In addition to attending dozens of lectures annually Dr. Gialanella has given numerous lectures himself. The groups he has lectured to include the Third and Fourth District Dental Societies, The Troy Study Group, Orognathic Bioesthetic Institute and The Seattle Study Club. He has lectured multiple times to the Internal Medicine Residents at Albany Medical Center and Emergency Medicine Residents at St. Peters Hospital.

Dr. Gialanella maintains membership in the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, the Third District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Bioesthetic Dentistry and the Pine Hills neighborhood association.

In an effort to give back to the community in which he lives Dr. Gialanella serves as the team dentist for both the Siena College. He also supports many local charities, his favorite being the Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation.

Dr. Gialanella and his wife Nichole live in Loudonville with their three children, 13 year-old Jack and 10 year-old twins, Elisabeth and Theodore. In his time away from the office he enjoys coaching and watching their baseball, soccer, lacrosse and basketball teams.
