She is also a past president of the Orange County Dermatologic Society. Dr. Sikorski served as a clinical professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, Irvine from 1995 to 2015.
Outside of private practice, Ive contributed research and presentations on a number of topics in facial and cosmetic treatment. Learning from and helping to advance the field provides all patients with better care and outcomes.
Before offering Orange County patients her services, as a cosmetic surgeon and dermatologist, Dr. Sikorski excelled in a rigorous course of instruction. She graduated at the top of her class from the University of Rochester Medical School, with high honors from Bryn Mawr College, and cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with Honors in Psychology.
Her additional training included a medical internship and residency in dermatology at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. She completed her cosmetic surgery fellowship at the Cosmetic Surgery Institute in Edina, Minnesota and took part in the Harvard Laser Course in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Outside of her work as a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Sikorski loves spending time with her children and teaching them how to enjoy life and one another. A skilled athlete, Dr. Sikorski was captain of the University of Pennsylvania tennis team and continues her athletic pursuits through Pilates, yoga, and biking. She also contributes to various charities benefiting AIDS research, Childrens Hospital of Orange County, and local shelters.
I decided in my last year of college. Prior to that, I was interested in pursuing a PHD in Psychology. While I was at the University of Pennsylvania, I took courses in the Biologic Basis of Behavior and I decided I was more interested in pursuing Medical training. I am glad I made the switch because I love what I do and cannot imagine doing anything else.
I love how when you follow your passions you continue to evolve. First- Art, ranked tennis player, Psychology major, Medical school, and then combing it all into Cosmetic Surgery, Dermatology, and Laser specialties. Terri is a licensed healthcare professional who practices medicine in partnership with Lenore Sikorski, MD in Orange County. She specializes in dermatology and has extensive experience treating a wide variety of skin conditions and diseases.
Prior to joining the practice, Terri worked in a private dermatology practice in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Terri evaluates and treats a variety of dermatology patients. She performs medical and cosmetic dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, chemical peels and laser treatments.
Terri received a BS in Biology from UCLA and then received her Master in Medical Sciences from the Yale School of Medicine. She is certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). She is a member of the American and California Academies of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Chelseah PA-C is a licensed Physician Assistant who specializes in the field ofdermatology. She has treated a wide range of medical skin conditions, encompassingacne, skin cancers and various dermatological rashes. She works with each person on anindividual level to help them meet their optimal skin care needs; understanding theirspecific skin care goals and working through their frustrations and barriers to help themreach their end goal.
Chelseah joined our practice after working for 4 years at a dermatology clinic in RanchoMirage, California. There she specialized in skin cancer removal as well as treatment ofvarious dermatologic skin conditions. She also performed cosmetic injections of toxinsand fillers.
Chelseah is originally from Michigan, where she graduated with her B.S from MichiganState University with high honors. She then moved to California to attain her masters ofScience degree at Loma Linda University in Physician Assistant Studies. She is acertified Physician Assistant who has been practicing in dermatology since graduation.
Polly Vallone, PA-C is a Certified Physician Assistant who received her degree at Stanford University. Polly completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California Santa Barbara where she majored in Biology. To maintain her certification, Polly completes over 100 continuing medical education hours every two years and takes her recertification board exam every ten years. These requirements enable her to stay current with the ever evolving practice of medicine.
She treats sun-damaged skin, diagnoses and treats skin cancer, as well as an array of common dermatologic conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rashes, warts, pigment disorders, alopecia, acne, and rosacea. She performs biopsies, excisions, C and Ds, and cryotherapy. She has a strong knowledge base of all types of lasers. She then inserts a cannula (small suction needle) through the incision and carefully moves it back and forth to break up unwanted fatty tissues. Once the tissue is broken sufficiently, the cannula is used to suction the desired amount of excess fat in thin, even layers, effectively contouring and shaping the face or body. Once Dr. Sikorski has achieved your aesthetic ideal, the incision is closed with stitches and a compression garment to help tissues heal.
Liposuction is a minimally invasive body contouring surgery and has little downtime. The procedure does not have to be done at a hospital and can be done at an outpatient surgery center. Like all surgeries, it is important to listen to your doctors pre-op and post-op directions. You can return to work a few days after your liposuction surgery. You may experience the tumescent anesthesia drainage from the incision area in the first 24 hours to 48 hours. This numbing medicine keeps the procedure safe and provides comfort during and after.
Expect to experience bruising and numbness in the targeted areas for about 2 to 8 weeks. A compression garment may be recommended to reduce swelling and promote healing. It is advised to maintain a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, and if your doctor finds you fit, enact low-intensity workouts to maintain results.

In the tumescent technique, excess fat areas are injected with a medical anesthesia solution before liposuction is performed. The liquid causes the compartments of fat to become swollen and firm or tumescent. The fat compartments allow the liposuction cannula to travel smoothly beneath the skin as the fat is removed. Outdated liposuction procedures that do not use wet fluid injections result in more swelling, bruising, and pain post-surgery.
