My 2 year old has been here twice and they are very caring and gentle with her, telling her what they're doing and why. They are knowledgable and put my toddler, as well as me, at ease. I'm sure this will lead to her being comfortable at the dentist instead of fearing it like I do.
Everyone was happy and eager to help! The produre I had done was quick and painless. They walked me through the whole process and then explained everything while doing it. I am 7 months pregnant and they were extremely cautious and accommodating to my needs.
Incredible experience! My son is 2 and terrified of the doctor- the staff here was incredible and worked with him until he was comfortable and happy! Extremely positive experience! They were absolutely amazing with my 2.5 year old for her first visit! Everyone was so warm and welcoming. Dr Stephanie and Cassie were so patient and really made my daughter enjoy her first visit. The fish were a great distraction and welcoming feature in the office!
Dr. Seidel earned his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Grove city college and was a member of the rugby team. He graduated in 2003 from Temple university school of dentistry where he was among the top of his class, earning induction into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Prior to entering private practice, he elected to complete a one year dental residency program at St. Josephs hospital in his hometown of Reading, PA helping to treat the under served members of our community.
He joined the Gettysburg practice in 2006 and became an owner of the practice in 2010. He has done postgraduate training at the Pankey institute and done extensive training in Invisalign and laser dentistry. He is a Platinum Plus Invisalign provider. He is a firm believer in lifelong learning and has pursued additional training in cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy and restorative dentistry. He is a huge proponent of dental technology and introduced Invisalign, digital scanning and laser dentistry into the practice. He is a resident of Lake Heritage where he lives with his wife Jennifer , their dog Abby and their four children. He is an avid water and snow skier and loves being outdoors. He enjoys volunteering and supporting local events and organizations such as the autism walk, relay for life, child advocacy center and the heart walk to name a few. He is passionate about modern dentistry and all of the great advances that is offers.
Dr. DeFilippo (formerly Dr. Stephanie Porter), obtained her dental degree at West Virginia University and her bachelors degree at Penn State University. Dr DeFilippo worked as a general dentist before she continued her education in pediatrics. She served her residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Christophers Hospital for Children, and has focused her continuing education on a pediatric specialty.
In addition to the American and Pennsylvania Dental Associations, Dr. DeFilippo is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. DeFilippo enjoys living and serving Gettysburg with volunteer efforts. Stephanie is very happy that the office is able to give back to this wonderful community. She is married to Christian DeFilippo, and they have a daughter, Athena and a son, Dante. In her spare time she enjoys reading, shopping, and absorbing the atmosphere of historic Gettysburg.
Dr. Ivashchuk acquired his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, after obtaining his bachelors degree in biochemistry from Temple University. At the University of Maryland he was one of the few selected to an implant clerkship program, where he worked on restoring and placing dental implants.
Dr. Ivashchuk was the recipient of Harry E. Latchman Memorial Award for excellence in complete oral operative restoration. In addition he received awards from Academy of Osseointegration and International Congress of Oral Implantologists for his great interest and work in implant dentistry. He is originally Ukrainian though he grew up and spent most of his life in Steelton, PA as a sibling of eight. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending church, playing all sports (especially volleyball), watching movies and traveling.

I went in for a filling, was seen quickly. Everyone was professional. Concern for my comfort was a top priority, including sunglasses for those bright lights. While drilling is never a pleasant experience, this was the least uncomfortable.

Our daughter has autism and is on the edge of the spectrum. They were very patient with her and talked her through everything that they were doing so that she felt more comfortable and less afraid, being only her second time there. At the end of her appointment she left with a beautiful smile and happy as can be. She's excited for her next appointment.

I really can not stress enough, how amazing the staff is with my children. My kids are normally worriers but the staff made everything so smooth and explained to them exactly what they were doing with such patience. I am very happy we found them!

My experience this far has been extremely positive! Unlike other dentistry's I've been to, that only want you in and out for the money, GBA is truly there to make sure you leave 100% happy with the outcome and are leaving with a gorgeous smile. All of my interactions with everyone has more than exceeded my expectations and am very eager to continue my and my family's dental care through GBA. They currently accept my insurance but am completely positive that if my insurance were to ever no longer be accepted, I would still continue my care through GBA because of there genuine care they provide for there patience. I would 100% recommend Gettysburg Dental Associates to anyone! I promise, you won't regret making Gettysburg Dental Associates your go to dentistry.

I had my first consult here for some work I've been trying to get done for nearly a year. Everyone was kind, understanding, and didn't rush. I got a clear outline of my care plan, valid and reasonable explainations as to why I need the procedures I do, and they are willing to work with me financially. For the first time in nearly a year I am excited to begin the dental work I've been dreading. I'm excited to move forward with them! :)

I have been to several Dentist Offices within the past 7 years. Gettysburg Dental is by far the most professional, courteous Office, from check-in to check-out, that I have been to. My treatment plan was explained to me by the team participants in a manner easily understood and one I could agree with 100%. I couldn't be more excited to begin my treatment plan.

The hygienist was friendly knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable and trusted the information and recommendations given to me. The dentist was great and very thorough with my exam, addressed the concerns he had and advised me of my treatment plan. The staff is very professional and friendly. .

I had a dental emergency, my front tooth broke in half. They managed to get me in early the next morning! Everyone was so incredibly kind and made me, as a brand new patient in distress, feel so relaxed and welcomed. My broken tooth is as good as new, and I cannot thank them enough!!

The office has a fun and kid friendly feel to it...from the paint on the walls to the staff! We love everyone here and my kids LOVE going to the dentist. They also helped fix one of my children's teeth that another dentist had tried to fix previously and caused an infection to happen. Now we have no existing problems and WANT to go to the dentist! Dr. Stephanie is wonderful and so everyone from the front desk to each room!

I have neglected to write this review for a long time. I got invisalign from this location and I was very excited. I told them. My goal is to have a perfect smile. End goal. I don't mind doing whatever it took. They ended up recommending invisalign. I wore these for about 9 months (but was told I would need them for 12).. At the time I was in a transition to move and I did have to move (work related) out of state. They said no problem we can mail your invisalign and everything would be fine and I would need to take pictures of my teeth. After being there, seeing the reviews I was excited. The only thing I truly wanted was this gap I have between both sides of my teeth. It was never corrected. After the 9 months I said hey this is not corrected and this is the main thing I wanted fixed. I was told I would get a call. I called back twice since and still didn't get a call. I also was told I would get teeth whitening included. (never got it). I was told I would get a retainer that I needed to keep in at night (for the rest of my life). Which I was absolutely ok with. (Never got it). Its frustrating because my teeth hurt all the time for months for basically nothing. I am very unsatisfied and I didn't want to leave this review but I have to because this really saddens me. I will now have to go spend over $4,000 more on getting the issue corrected. I have nothing bad to say about anyone there, they were all very professional and very nice. I was always excited to go in each time. Edit: they have reached out to me to rectify the situation. Adding 3 stars.

Not a fan of getting my teeth worked on - but everyone at Gettysburg Dental makes you feel better about what you are getting done- and having a crown done all in the same day is AMAZING!!!! No temporary crowns to worry about
