Dr. Chris Gerwig was raised here in Lubbock and is thrilled to be serving the people in his hometown. After graduating from Coronado High School, he attended Texas A&M in College Station before moving to Dallas to study at Baylor College of Dentistry. He graduated with honors in 2006 and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
He moved to Eglin AFB in Florida for a one year residency in General Dentistry and then was stationed at Eielson AFB in Alaska for three more years. Upon completion of his active duty commitment, he returned home in 2010 for the amazing opportunity to practice with his father. He has been actively pursuing additional training culminating in the completion of 114 hours of CE through the Implant Preceptorship offered through the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
Dr. Chris and his wife Cheri have been blessed with three wonderful children. Grace can be found dancing her way through life as part of the Revolution Elite Dance studio as well as being a member of the Lubbock Cooper High School Pom Squad. Kyle loves baseball and soccer and is a natural musician. Tanner always has a smile on his face and is an expert at bringing a smile to the faces of others as well. Cheri enjoys running (for some reason) and playing the role of taxi driver. Dr. Chris used to play golf and enjoyed snow skiing before his kids took over all of the free time!
Dr. Michael McCauley is happy to serve his hometown of Lubbock and the West Texas area. He strives to meet the needs of his patients, and prides himself on providing excellent dental care in a positive and relaxing environment.
He decided to pursue a career in dentistry while at Frenship High School. After graduating from high school, he then attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where he earned a bachelors degree in human biology. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended Texas A&M University College of Dentistry (formally known as Baylor College of Dentistry) in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Macie Headley grew up in northern California and knew she wanted to be a dentist at 9 years old. She earned her bachelors degree in Biological Sciences at Dominican University of California. After completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Headley attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. She graduated with honors and received several awards for outstanding performance and dental research. Dr. Headley was proud to receive the Most Compassionate Dental Student Award because she is committed to providing compassionate, quality dental care to all her patients.
Dr. Macie Headley moved to Lubbock to be with her husband, Jordan, who is a firefighter. They are new homeowners and proud to call Lubbock their home. Dr. Macie Headley enjoys spending quality time with her husband, hiking, and baking. Dr. Headley also loves her two fur babies, Luna and Brody.
Dr. Wayson Gerwig opened Gerwig Family Dental in 1989 and worked tirelessly over the next 31 years to grow the practice and establish its culture. His retirement in January of 2020 was well deserved! His legacy of providing the highest quality care to his patients continues to be our lodestar to this day.
