Dr. Irma Echandy graduated from New York University School of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Echandy brings an extensive background in that she served as a Lieutenant Commander for the U.S. Navy having hands on experience as a general dentist for 5 years. At that time, she was selected for Pediatric post doctorate specialty training at the University of Puerto Rico as a Reserve Officer for two more years from where she graduated in 2003. She brings not only a broad spectrum of dental experience, but a combination of both gentle touch and a fun personality that eases both children and parents alike. Dr. Echandy currently lives with her family in Bethesda.
Dr. Robles attended New York University where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1995. She pursued a one year hospital internship program at Albany Medical Center to earn her residency certificate in 1996. She returned to New York University in order to continue another two year post doctorate program to receive her Specialist Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics in 1998. Dr. Robles is a second generation Orthodontist ( Her mom also was an Orthodontist). She is certified provider for Damon braces, Insignia Braces, Invisalign and Invisalign Teen as well as Harmony/lingual braces ( braces behind the teeth).

My daughter was so scared of the dentist. Mainly because her older sister and brother had extra dental concerns and they didn't like going. This location took my daughter and encouraged her, guided her to be confident about coming and made it comfortable for her. I appreciate the extra mile this office takes to make my daughter ok about getting her cleanings. Thank you.

Such a great experience for my sons first dental appointment! All the staff were extremely nice & the dentist was amazing and kept my son comfortable, & encouraged & entertained. Great office, thank you all so much for the amazing experience!!

We've been coming here for years, and Dr. Echandy and the rest of the staff are amazing. They are great with the kids, helping them to feel comfortable with the experience of going to the dentist. Always fair. Good practical advice for tooth hygiene.

Awesome facilities but most of all great and warm, knowledgeable people! The staff take professionalism to another level, mix up efficiency and warmth such that one coming away feeling like part of a family. We have two boisterous and hyperactive boys - and one on the spectrum- and they look forward to their visits!

Fantastic office and staff. A great place for kids!!!! I took my son for his first visit (12 months old) and it was a great experience. I would highly recommend this dentist to any parent.

This a great practice, Dr Echandy and the staff are the best in every way. I take my 3 kids there and no complaints . They have shown kindness and patience especially with my twins....I moved from Germantown years ago but I still go there because of the WORLD CLASS Service they provide. !!!!DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!! I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR TOWARDS A 6 YEAR OLD CHILD. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS CHILDREN. If I could give this practice 0 stars I would! We had been going here for a couple of years and each time, Dr. Elchandy's demeanor was worse and worse. She continually insists on extra procedures and I'm convinced it's to make money from insurance. When we switched practices, our new dentist has not once suggested anything out of an ordinary cleaning. The office staff here is very friendly as well as some of the hygienists but the Dr. herself is the main reason I will never return.

My family utilizes both the pediatric (Dr. E) and orthodontic (Dr. Robles) services. I would highly recommend Germantown Pediatric Dental & Orthodontic Center to anyone seeking a dentist/orthodontist! Not only do they make you feel as if you are their number one client - they also have the awesome ability to make you forget where you are! So happy we found them! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

We've been going here for our daughter for years now. I've never had an issue until recently, on our last visit my 4 year old needed her teeth cleaned and some other dental evaluations. When we were called I was instructed to let her go by herself because I guess these were whatever procedures they had in place because of COVID. I was with my 1 year old so I reluctantly said OK. But I was not comfortable at all letting my 4 year old go back by herself with a bunch of strangers it definitely raised some red flags for me I think it's important for a parent to be present when a small child is being examined. Not to mention just before we were called a Hispanic women with 3 children was let in the back with all of her children so I'm not sure why myself and my baby were not allowed back with my daughter. Nonetheless my girl did great and was all smiles but idk I'm not sure I'll be making my way back to this practice it's a bit far and there isn't anything I absolutely love about this place to make me keep driving over an hour to come back.
