My profession allows me the opportunity to help and educate my patients on how to achieve and maintain exceptional oral health. Each patient is unique, and getting to know them personally while building long-lasting relationships is fun and enjoyable. I am most passionate about providing quality dental care to each patient in a comfortable and relaxed manor.
My team and I have been working together on average for over 19 years, establishing great relationships with each other and our patients. We think of our team and patients as one big extended family. We are continually working towards creating a fun, yet relaxing and comfortable environment for everyone, while providing our patients with outstanding dental care.
By participating in continuing education courses throughout the year, I am able to stay current with the latest technology and dental treatments. I regularly attend the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter convention and the American Dental Association Annual session. This, in turn, allows me to provide the quality of care I believe my patients deserve.
I have lived in the North Shore of Milwaukee for over 35years, and am so proud to be a part of this vibrant community. My wife and I have been married for over 36years and have three grown children. When not at work, I enjoy biking, traveling, and spending quality time with my family. Like a true Wisconsinite, I enjoy cheering on the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and MU Warriors!
I live and work in a great community and feel it is important to give back, both professionally and personally. I have been involved with Scouting activities, youth sports, volunteer dental programs, and church activities.

I began dental assisting in the summer of 1978 and joined Dr. Gerdes in 1990. It's so much fun working with reliable, funny and great people who are all here to create a wonderful environment for our patients. My job here includes assisting Dr. Gerdes with patient care, managing our inventory and creating temporary restorations and appliances in the lab. I enjoy the diversity of procedures I perform and working with several different patients throughout the day.
I love what I do for work, but also enjoy creating and designing handcrafted beaded jewelry in my home studio. Playing soccer in a couple of different leagues several times a week is my main source of exercise. I have two grown sons who, after graduating from UW Madison, have settled in Wisconsin. I am grateful to have them nearby so I can enjoy my grandchildren!
I received my dental hygiene degree in 2008 and joined Dr. Gerdes in 2010. I help maintain and improve my patients oral heath through routine cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and periodontal therapies, along with educating patients on effective home care. I enjoy getting to know patients of all ages, along with their entire families, and helping them all achieve good oral health. Dr. Gerdes and our staff are extremely dedicated and caring, and create a relaxing and friendly environment for everyone.
I started working for Dr. Gerdes in 1987 as a part-time dental assistant while going to school for dental hygiene. Once I graduated from dental hygiene school in 1988, I worked for Dr. Gerdes as a hygienist part time, then became full time in 2004. Since Ive been here for so many years, Ive had the pleasure of establishing some really wonderful long-term relationships with our patients. Our staff has been working together so long they are like an extension of my family!
