Dr. Gerard Cuomo focuses on providing his patients with a great experience in a comfortable, home-like environment. He and his team strive to make you feel comfortable every step of the way. One of seven children, Dr. Cuomo was raised in upstate New York where he was exposed to the beauty of nature and art at a young age. He learned the nuances of charcoal and pastels in high school, then honed his artistic skills in ceramic arts while earning a BA degree in Chemistry from Florida Atlantic University. It was while at FAU that he decided to blend his artistic skills with medicine and chose dentistry as a career. He moved to Chicago where he earned his dental degree from Northwestern University Dental School in 1984. Following graduation, he moved back to Florida and has been practicing in south Florida ever since.
As a practicing dentist, Dr. Cuomo recognized the need to perform dentistry at a higher level. In 2002, he designed a dental microscope system which is in place at his office as well as other offices and dental labs. An innovator in his field, Dr. Cuomo teaches, lectures, and publishes articles on the benefits of microscopic dentistry. With all these accomplishments, what Dr. Cuomo enjoys most is improving patients smiles and educating patients about their dental health. Dr. Cuomo is also the executive director of the Pre-Dental Mentorship Program at Florida Atlantic University. He created and teaches a 10-week course which allows students to engage in an interactive dental experience before making the decision to pursue their dental career. He has touched, and continues to touch, the lives of many pre-dental students and thoroughly enjoys giving back to his alma mater. Dr. Cuomos ongoing support for this program, lead to his receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award from FAU in 2012.
Happily married to his wife, Phyllis, for over 30 years, Dr. Cuomo is the proud father of three grown children--twin boys and a daughter--and grandfather 'Pop' to three grandchildren. Dr. Cuomos love of art still runs strong. When hes not crafting beautiful smiles, he enjoys throwing clay on the wheel and watching pottery take shape in his hands. He also loves capturing the beauty of nature in photography, loves sports (especially baseball), and spending time with family.
Gail has been working as a hygienist for Dr. Cuomo since he began practicing in Boca Raton in the late '80s. She loves befriending her patients, many of whom have been seeing her regularly for many years. She enjoys seeing the beautiful results of Dr. Cuomo's skilled care and using the trusting relationships she builds with patients to help them obtain optimal oral health for life. A native of Pompano Beach, Florida, Gail completed her dental hygiene education at Palm Beach Community College. She has additional training in oral cancer screening, root planing and curettage, nutrition and diet, effects of oral health on systemic health, dental implants, home dental health care, and periodontal disease prevention.
Gail is the proud mother of her son, Tim, and daughter-in-law, Melissa. She also loves being 'GG' (Grandma Gail) to her grandson. She enjoys traveling, going to the gym, staying healthy, and focusing with prayer and meditation.
Mayra joined the Cuomo team in May of 2017. She graduated with her dental hygiene degree from the University of Nebraska in 2004 and loves her chosen profession. She enjoys getting to know each patient and taking care of their individual dental needs. Mayra's friendly, upbeat personality make patients feel welcome and her gentle and caring manner makes patients feel at ease. She has been a wonderful addition to our dental team.
Mayra is a Florida native and grew up in Miami. She is happily married to her husband, Kevin, and is a loving mother to their two fun-loving and adventurous children, Natalia and Xander. In her spare time, Mayra enjoys yoga, biking, reading (especially biographies), magic, and experiencing new adventures with her family.
A native of Kiev, Ukraine, Viktoria studied at the College of Economics and Planning. She moved to the United States in 1975 from the Soviet Union and considers America her home. Viktoria is happily married and spends time with her husband and their two sons. She enjoys art, history, travel, reading, cinema, antiquing, and decorating.

I've been going to Dr Cuomo for thirty years. Even though I've moved farther away I still drive to his office. He is exceptional at pain management. I had a filling last week and felt almost no pain. The office has industrial air cleaners which mitigates COVID risk. He also took the lead when I needed a dental implant a few years ago. I've been to other dentists but always end up coming back here. The current hygienist was also very thorough, gentle and not condescending. Victoria at the front desk is very thorough and always asks after my family members.

Dr. Cuomo advised me after an evaluation that I needed to have a tooth pulled. I decided to get a second opinion by an endodontist that I prev. used. I am happy to report that the tooth was saved. I needed a root canal. I've since had a crown put on by another dentist.

When it comes to Dr. Cuomo, five stars aren't nearly enough. From day one, he, and his staff, went above and beyond for me and my dental implant rescue case. Not native to Boca, I flew in for my procedure -- removing a broken abutment screw stuck inside my implant. It was tricky, but Dr. Cuomo never gave up and ultimately succeeded where so many others had failed. He's a consummate professional and a master of the dental microscope -- and, god forbid, should I ever have another dental catastrophe, I will, without a doubt, return to Dr. Cuomo.

There are a LOT of dentists in Boca, but very few good ones. We found Dr. Cuomo at the recommendation of a friend after trying four sub-par dental offices in the area. My husband and I have been going to see him for our dental care for several years now, and he takes great care of our teeth. They've never looked better. He's very knowledgeable and kind, and the rest of the staff is as well. He aims for perfection, which is what we want from our dentist!

Dr. Cuomo is an extremely nice and humble guy who treats every patient like his family. Not only is the office a great environment for all ages, but the method of treatment and attention to detail is top class. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cuomo. He is no doubt the best dentist in Boca Raton.

A great dental office. Dr Cuomo has developed some microscopy set ups which allow a careful examination of teeth. The hygienists are very thorough and also very careful. I go for the basic care but Dr Cuomo is an artist of cosmetic dentistry as well.

My son had an incredible experience with Dr. Cuomo and his staff. After going to several dentists who were not able to resolve his problem (broken screw in an implant), we found Dr. Cuomo. He and his staff were warm and caring, and he spent several hours with my son until he resolved the problem. I cannot recommend this office and doctor highly enough!

Wizardry is what I call it. I had already been to four dentists to try to have the broken screw removed from my implant but none of them were able to do it. Dr. Cuomo (the wizard) with his state-of-the-art equipment and his magic wand was successful in getting it out. I was delighted with the service, the staff and of course, Dr. Cuomo.

I've been coming to Dr.Cuomo for at least 4 years. When I first walked out his office I left in tears from all the problems I had that i was made aware of (it was shocking since I had met with 2 other doctors and they were negligent to inform me). He, his wife and staff never let me give up (not that they were pushy with treatment, but they assured me everything I needed was very obtainable and manageable for a person of my financial status). Everyone is very knowledgeable, friendly, sympathetic to your feelings and incredibly through with your treatments. I love this place and I'm beyond happy that I found this office. I couldn't ask for a better dentist or staff its just amazing all around.
