Born in Long Beach, Cathleen graduated from Jordan High School and attended American Career College to learn Dental Assisting. Internships in dental offices provided her the skills necessary to fill her position in our office, and she began working here in 2011. Always friendly and positive, Cathleen adds a personal dimension to our staff that appeals to our younger generations of patients. She continues to educate herself for new skills in dentistry, and spends personal time jogging, riding bikes, and watching movies. She loves concerts and listening to music.
Maria was born in Los Angeles and has lived in the Southland all her life. After graduating from Paramount High School, she attended Cerritos College for Dental Assisting and the West Los Angeles Dental Hygiene Program for her Degree as a hygienist. While finding time to devote to her family, and sharing time with friends, Maria continues in life-long education to pursue a Masters Degree in Public Health and Public Policy. Her advanced degree of RDHAP allows her to perform dental hygiene duties in residential and institutional settings for those unable to travel to a dental office. Her passion for dental prevention fuels her innovative and caring approach to her profession. Maria has been working with us since 1999.
A Whittier native, Lisa graduated from Pioneer High School and began working with us in 1993. As a receptionist, she observed the functions and interactions of hygienists and patients, and decided to pursue the dental hygiene profession. Attending Cerritos College, she graduated with her degree in 2000 and began employment as a hygienist in our office immediately. She brings to her patients a thorough professionalism and pleasant personality; her physical fitness routines and healthy eating lifestyle are reflected in her role as a preventive therapist. Lisa continues her hygiene education, and loves to spend personal time reading, watching movies, and wine-tasting with friends and family.
Born in Arcadia and a graduate of Azusa High School, Rose attended Citrus College and has completed training to attain her Registered Dental Assistant license. After many years of wide experiences in general dental care, she pursued the amazing technology education behind CEREC crowns and has become proficient in its utilization. Beginning in our office in 2010, she has helped bring the latest innovations to our patients and enhanced the treatment experiences for so many. A cheerful, high energy person, Rose keeps busy in her personal life with biking, sewing, and crocheting, and has a passion for cooking and baking. Rose awaits the next step in the technology that is moving our Dental world forward.
The mother of three young boys, Jennifer maintains a busy schedule at home with their active lives, always involved in their activities and raising them with her strict values that we love. Born in long Beach and a graduate of Rosary High School, she received an A.A. degree in Hotel management from Golden West College and further training with Marriott Hotels. A career change brought her to us in 2001, where she used her skills in customer service to transition into Dentistry. She is a warm and caring person who helps keep the personal touch in our busy practice, and the knowledge that comes from her experience is valuable to each of our patients; her computer skills keep her at the fore of a changing technology world. In spare time, she enjoys teaching Sunday school and being involved in all ways with family.
Another California native, born in San Gabriel, Sandy attended Mayfair High School and Cerritos College, receiving her Registered Dental Hygienist degree in 1989. A thoughtful and caring hygienist who has worked in our office since 2008, Sandy elicits a very personal, friendly relationship with her patients. A mother of two teenagers, she loves to spend time with family and friends, and is active in her church. Gardening and baking are her hobbies, and she is an active reader in spare time. Continuing her education and keeping current with the changes and trends in Dentistry is a lifelong goal for Sandy.
Our newest addition, Michele comes from an experienced dental background that began with education to be a Registered Dental Assistant, and evolved into Office Administration and Management. Her experiences in multiple dental offices have given her a broad knowledge of dental insurances and benefits, and exposure to a wide variety of computer programs and office systems. Continuing education in these areas keeps her current in the field. Her professional passion is assisting patients in receiving the dentistry they need and want, in an affordable manner.A La Mirada native and Neff High School graduate, Michele attended Cerritos College and continues to make this area her home. Free time is spent reading, activities with seven grandchildren and the family dog, and travel. She is an avid USC football fan, attending games when possible.

My son who is at a nearby college needed a crown after having dental work done by our out of state home dentist over the summer. He went to another office who wouldn't do it without unnecessary other procedures. Dr Roodzant was able to see him in a matter of days and was able to fit and install the crown the same day, at a really fair price. My son liked him as a dentist and we will return if there are any other dental procedures he needs while away from home.

Excellent office!!! Staff is friendly and efficient, I was promptly seen by the dentist and he himself was very warm and welcoming. We were made to feel very comfortable and important. I highly recommend Dr. Gerald Roodzant and his staff for a dentistry choice.

I have been coming to Dr. Roodzant for several years. I have always had positive results with my cleanings and dental work. The staff here is always friendly and polite. I highly recommend if you are looking for a great dentist and staff, this is the place to come.

Dr. Roodzant and his staff are fantastic! The place is also super clean and Covid safe. I haven't gone to a dentist since 2016 because of a traumatic experience I had with another dentist. Dr. Roodzant and his staff have been very patient and kind to me. Thanks to them I feel more confident and comfortable getting these procedures done. Keep up the good work!

Gave this office a chance because it was close to home but Dentist Roodzant was very rough doing my kid's fillings. He was also unpleasant and the office was small, dark and not very clean

I wouldn't recommend other people to come here. I don't think my crown matches the color of my other teeth and the dentist was very rude. He's the only dentist in the office unfortunately

My family and I have been a patient of Dr. Roodzant. Unfortunately, the way they handle customers is not always the best. I had to reschedule an appointment, I know it is a standard practice to charge for cancelled appointments, but $40 is too much. We've spent thousands with the office and being rude about it in a text is not how customers should be treated. We will be looking for another dentist. He also may have been in a rush, because I was able to feel everything while doing work on my crown replacement.

Started going here years ago at the recommendation of a friend. We have recommended him many times since then. The Doctor, Gerry, has magic hands. Good staff and new up to date equipment. The wife broke a tooth couple weeks ago and they made the replacement right there in the office.
