I know Dr Goveia is retired but I wanted to offset the negative review with my own experience. Many years ago I brought my 10 yr old child to him to have a wisdom tooth removed. Dr Govieia was very gentle and kind. He administered the Novacaine without incedent and removed the tooth. At no time was my daughter in pain or traumatized. I hope Dr Goveia is enjoying his retirement.

In 2017 I had an infected & cracked wisdom tooth. Dr. Goveia did the extraction so smoothly; that when he went to put the gauze in afterwards, I thought he was about to pull the tooth out. I had the extraction done with after the numbing injection, rather than going under the gas. I thought the actual extraction was just preparation. Later that evening, I was very lucky to not have pain. The procedure was done so efficiently that I did not even need a Tylenol. Brockton & Oral Maxillofacial Surgery may not have the white leather chairs, and fancy high tech equipment you see in dentist offices in the city, but what it have was the most important part - an incredibly skilled & experience oral surgeon. I am very grateful that I had gone here, and I still talk about this wisdom tooth dental experience 4 years later!

!!!!!!!!TRAUMATIZING!!!!!!!!! Absolutely horrific experience ever. I went to get my wisdom tooth removed and I literally felt everything I felt excruciating Pain along with every twist and crunch...!! he did not numb me enough and he didn't test my gums before the pull. I was confident in getting it pulled without anesthesia because I've had a wisdom tooth pulled before by a different place and it went fine and the healing went well also. I will never forget the anxiety attack I had while this procedure was being done only thing I felt bad for was the assistants hand because I grabbed and squeezed her hand so hard. I couldn't breathe and I was crying my eyes out. I will never come back here and I will never get a tooth pulled without fear. He also had the nerve to tell me I was just nervous. Only people I give credit to was the assistant and the nice Receptionist.
