I went there in hopes of having a deep pocket taken care of. Just for 20 minutes visit it was over $240.00 the proposed treatment required me to pay out of packet 50 % at front, even though I provided two insurances. I went to visit them in November and I am still dealing with the insurance trying to correct the claims. It was difficult to get someone on the phone, after leaving several voicemails I finally got someone calling me back to process the claim. However, it was not processed correctly. Now I am getting bills with finance charges that could have been avoided, had they processed the claims right to begin with. I do not recommend this place.

I was scheduled to have osseous surgery performed by Aubrey Scher over at Georgia Periodontics for my entire mouth. That's right, all four quadrants of the mouth for a total cost of $6,000. This doesn't even include the implant which was to follow the osseous procedure. The first half of the procedure (2 quadrants) was performed on Oct 9 2021. A cleanup which was scheduled for the following month had to be pushed onto Dec 1 2021 due to the fact that my gums were not healing quickly. During Thanksgiving week, I was sick with a very bad case of the cold/bronchitis with lots of coughing. I called the day before my scheduled cleaning to cancel since I was still sick with heavy coughing. I later came to find out from Linda (their receptionist) that Dr Scher was charging me with the late fee since I did not provide 2-days notice (rather than one days notice). Mind you, nobody at Georgia Periodontics even mentioned anything about requiring a 2 day's notice on cancellations. When I tried to explain the reasoning, it appeared not to matter. Dr Scher and Georgia Periodontics apparently would prefer that I kept the appointment and cough all over their staff. My question to Aubrey Scher at Georgia Periodontics is this: Did you really care about the $50 cancellation fee more than completing the remainder of the procedure at a cost of $3,000? (smh) I'll most likely need to have the osseous surgery procedure performed by Aubrey Scher at Georgia Periodontics corrected as it still has not 100% fully healed. Reviews provided by actual customers are very helpful for those who leverage social media in making such decisions that I now find myself in looking for a replacement periodontist. I highly encourage people to do so in an effort to avoid making bad decisions as most customers will have no insight as to the quality of service provided. How one runs their business also sheds light into their true character. I'll let you be the judge of that based on my shared experience.

My regular dentist in Texas told me that I needed to see a Periodontist when I moved to Georgia. After hours of searching online my neighbor recommended Dr. Scher. I finally called and the lady that answered the phone was so sweet and even called me to remind me about my appointment. Dr. Scher was also very nice and explained everything to me so that I understand. I felt very comfortable and now understand what I need to do. The lady upfront help me deal with my insurance thank goodness. I am glad I was able to find a periodontist that I am comfortable with on my first attempt.
