It makes me really sad to write this, but as a mother of 4, I really feel like I need to emphasize the time and energy it took to 1) Do the extensive research to recognize what type of holistic care I wanted for my children, and 2) Find a provider who respected those wishes. I am trying to be as transparent as possible when writing this, because it's few and far between to find someone who genuinely respects this kind of care, but I will NOT be treated with disrespect nor have someone else snap at my child no matter the circumstances, especially when you practice gentle parenting. My hope is that another Mother will read this and find my insight helpful, and can make an informed decision on if this practice is for them or not. Upfront, everything is exactly what I wanted regarding a holistic approach, no fluoride, understanding of ties, preventatives for decay etc. Everything was quick and efficient, clearly outlined what would be happening that day, report of findings, recommendations for other providers if desired, gift baggies for all my kiddos, and a clean environment. We take diet seriously, and know the importance of WAPF in regards to oral health. I got the professional opinion that what we are doing is on par, we have no signs of decay, and for that I'm a happy Momma. We did have good communication via E-Mail including everything that would be done, however we did schedule and were then asked to reschedule days prior... so if you're an inflexible family the rescheduling might be a bother. I saw that this was a common thing. Let me also preface with the fact that this was my child's very first appointment. When we got there, no one greeted us. We sat in the waiting room, and I finally had to get up to make sure someone recognized that we were there since our appointment time was passed. I was eventually handed a clipboard, asked for my license, asked for payment up front, and the receptionist walked out the door and drove off in her car? Dr. Lorie called us back, apologized for short staff which I appreciated, showed us the room, helped my daughter get up to her chair, and then very firmly said "Ok you need to leave." I just drove TWO hours to this provider with 3 children for my daughters first experience, and although I didn't expect to be able to "hold her hand," and do understand where she is coming from regarding "distractions" this was not a request, it was a demand and was communicated in SUCH a firm manner... I almost felt shamed for having to bring my other children along. It wasn't however as thought they were being disrespectful I had an infant on my chest and a Two Year Old on my hip. So, we helped ourself to the little waiting room just outside the exam room. Assuming that's what that space was for. I cared for my toddler and listened in on the appointment as best I could, and at times heard her getting very firm with my daughter so I walked in to check "How's everything going here kiddo" and Dr. Lorie replied "Good! I need you to go out into the reception area. The OTHER waiting room." I couldn't help but feel exiled so to speak, like I was just scolded for checking in in my child's discomfort. So, we went out into the "other" space where we were eventually greeted with good reports and additional information (which in line with my values and affirming) However what made me uncomfortable is on multiple occasions during our conversation she snapped at my children who were in no way being disrespectful, rather playing with the toys in the goody bags given to them happily. She told them to "shush" and snapped "hey, be quiet" which left me with a sour feeling in my stomach. Might sound sensitive, but if you care about how other people treat your children and feel they deserve the same respect as adults (gentle parenting) you may want to rethink this provider for more reasons than one.

She is the best dentist I've ever been to. She's patient with me because I'm a hard patient to deal with LOL but she is amazing. Her education is top-notch she's a great person to talk to and she is a true professional. I would recommend anybody to this office. The staff she has under her are amazing.

My first visit with Georgia Holistic Dentist was excellent! Dr Lorie is very knowledgeable and thorough! Her staff is so nice! I felt like I knew them for years! My cleaning and X-rays went well, and I plan to bring my family to her practice! They are just what they advertise, Holistic. I drove over an hour to her location and it was worth the drive!

I have never met a dentist with the knowledge and experience that Dr. Lorie has. She is motivated to give each patient the best possible treatment and is driven to provide excellence in each patient's mouth. Children and adults alike will find a dentist they can trust with both their purse and their mouth. If you have not given Holistic Dentistry a try before - take your first step in with Dr. Lorie!! It will be one of the best decisions you make for your dental health - and in turn - your overall health!

Always the latest and most effective holistic treatment. As painless as is possible. Dr Steven's introduced me to ozone treatment which the most effective of many,many holistic treatments that I have used in my 60+ years of adulthood (if I had not been young and blessed with an abundance of god given stem cells I would not have survived the 1st 20 years ). The quality of Dr Steven's work is beyond question.

I've been coming to Dr. Lori at Ga Holistic Dental for a couple of years now. It been a very good experience each time I've come in. The dental assistant is through and the information given is so much more than any of conventional dentists I've been to before. Dr. Lori has done some repair and bonding work, and I have been very pleased. 4 stars-issue with some communication this last visit but then they were on the ball and got me in ASAP. I highly recommend!
