Our practice specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and prioritizes creating a comfortable, personalized experience for each patient. We offer a wide variety of services with high expertise that encompass the diagnosis and surgical management of diseases, injuries and defects of both the functional and esthetic aspects of the oral and maxillofacial regions.

We work in a partnership with other dentists, dental specialists, and physicians in the community to help ensure comprehensive care for our patients.
Dr. Grant Hogan graduated from Roswell High School in 1992, and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Duke University in 1996. He earned his DDS degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, won numerous academic awards, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
After graduating from dental school in 2000, Dr. Hogan entered an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern (Parkland Memorial Hospital) in Dallas, Texas. He finished medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2003 and completed his residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery in 2006.
Dr. Hogan is Board Certified in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesiology. He holds a position as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University and has privileges at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Saint Josephs Hospital, and Grady Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Hogan keeps abreast of the latest oral and maxillofacial surgery techniques, procedures, and research by attending multiple continuing education courses throughout the year. In addition, he volunteers as an instructor for the oral & maxillofacial surgery residents at Emory University on a regular basis.
Finally, Dr. Hogan was formally one of the oral surgeons on the medical staff of the Atlanta Thrashers and is the oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the Gwinnett Braves. He maintains a certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Dr. Hogan lives in Suwanee with his wife, Rhonda, a pediatric dentist, and their children, Kate and David. In his spare time, he likes to travel, listen to music, work in his yard, exercise, and watch Duke basketball.
The Shalom Foundation operates the Moore Pediatric Surgery Center, which addresses the desperate medical and health needs of poor children in Guatemala by providing multi-specialty surgeries and medical treatment. Volunteer teams from the United States make one-week trips to the Moore Center and work with local Guatemalan medical specialists to provide patients with thorough pre-screening care, surgical treatment, and post-op care within a modern surgical facility.
Dr. Hogan and his wife have had the privilege of making these mission trips since 2018, and members of their office team have accompanied the doctors to assist in delivering care to the Guatemalan children.

I had a recent visit for wisdom tooth extraction. Dr Haeffs and staff are excellent demonstrating professionalism, competency and caring attitudes. Wait time is minimal. All concerns and needs were addressed. I had pain as to be expected but never had to use narcotics. I received a follow up call from Dr Haeffs, which speaks volumes because often times the calls are done by other staff members. There were no adverse outcomes. I highly recommend Dr Haeffs and staff. Thanks for all you do and showing there are still healthcare professionals that care.

Dr. Haeffs removed my 4 wisdom teeth and was phenomenal. He is highly competent, thorough, skilled, and gentle-natured. He patiently took his time to go over all of my questions during the consultation and the procedure itself was rather quick. The nurse was very kind and knowledgeable as well and a very calming presence leading up to the procedure, which was very helpful. The office staff also was very nice. Definitely recommend seeing Dr. Haeffs at this office.

I had 4 of my wisdom remove. The process was smooth and his team was amazing. It really didn't feel like. I was there long. Dr Hogan did make call after the oral surgery to make sure everything was ok. I would recommend his services. It was pretty costly but it was worth the price. I didn't have no discomfort accept for the normal protocol with that type of service. Everything was healing pretty good by the 5th day but still have little way to go with healing.

Dr. Grant Hogan and his staff are definitely at the top of their field. I am always greeted warmly-whether in person or on the phone. And the implant treatment I had done went so smoothly. Dr. Hogan has the best technologies available to provide state of the art oral surgery. I would not hesitate to refer any of my friends or family to them!

This was a great experience for our family. Our 15 yr old son had all wisdom teeth removed. He had hardly any swelling and minimal discomfort. Dr. Hogan is a great surgeon and answered all of our questions. The staff is very kind, organized and prompt. I wish Dr. Hogan had been my oral surgeon when I got my wisdom teeth removed many years ago. Highly recommend.

I love this place. I've read some of the reviews and it is unfortunate that some people have had negative interactions with some of the staff. I can understand where this would have occurred and believe that Dr. Hogan and his office Manager have addressed their patient service/customer service issues. I have nothing but KUDOS for Dr. Hogan, and Josephina (rockstar). They are very helpful and EVERY time I have a question I am assisted. Dr. Hogan even personally called to check on my daughter the day after her procedure!!! WHERE DO THEY DO THAT AT? I've not EVER had a provider call to check on me/kids after a procedure; maybe the nurse/staff but not the Dr. My son is now scheduled for a procedure and his case is a bit more sensitive due to some other issues, however I am confident that I have him in the best of hands with Dr. Hogan and his staff. In fact, I will also be scheduling my husband for wisdom teeth extractions as well!

My dentist referred me to this practice for my wisdom teeth removal. I called the front desk to make an appointment and was met by a rude employee. I didn't know the process as this was obviously my first time removing all 4 of my wisdom teeth, and I didn't feel comfortable in our conversation. I'm super nervous about dental work so I can't come to a place with rude assistants :( I was looking forward to this place because of all the good reviews but I'll be looking elsewhere!

I have been to this place for my initial assessment of wisdom teeth extraction but decided not to proceed with the procedure. The place was really nice and the staff were pleasant to work with. The information they have provided regarding the procedure was very helpful and video was setup very nicely. The main reason I didn't proceed with the procedure was lack of clarity on the cost structure/breakdown/ insurance coverage. For the initial visit, they had me pay more than twice of what my insurance EOB said I should be paying. It sounded like they were figuring out some details with insurance provider but that was not shared with me upfront. May have been as a result, for the procedure, the cost they asked me to pay out of my pocket was at-least 3x what I eventually ended up paying at another location.

Was having issues with my wisdom teeth, Dr. Hogan was very thorough during my consultation and we were able to come to a budget friendly solution for removing my wisdom teeth. His staff was fantastic and informative. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone! My surgery went great and they contacted me to check on me after!

This is my second child using Georgia Facial and Oral Surgery. This time is was during the Covid-19 pandemic. I will have to say that did awesome! They had every detail of what we needed to do in order to get the procedure done. Everyone was great and professional. Everything was sanitized. Dr. Hogan did a fantastic job taking out my son's wisdom teeth with any issues. I would highly recommend them if you need oral surgery! The staff was friendly and answered all my questions every time I called with a new one. They did GREAT!!!

Dr. Hogan and staff are amazing! My daughter had 6 wisdom teeth and my son had 7. Minimal swelling/bruising, great experience, great recovery for both kids! We will be taking our third to him as well. Highly recommend!
