Dr. Swanson has been providing outstanding dental care to the Martinez, California area since 1986. He earned his Bachelors degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of California at San Diego before receiving his Doctor of Dental Sciencefrom the University of California at San Francisco Dental School, where he now serves as an associate clinical professor.He completed a denture internship at Veterans Administration Home in Yountville, California, and stays up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of dentistry by maintaining active membership in numerous prestigious professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the UCSF Alumni Association and the Contra Costa Dental Association.In his time away from the office, Dr. Swanson enjoys skiing, hiking, scuba diving, gardening and boating.
Patti Fitzgerald, R.D.H.Patti is a long time resident of the Martinez and Pleasant Hill area. Patti has been in the dental field for over 40 years and has been a Hygienist for Doctor Swanson for over 20 years. Patti is Doctor Swanson's Hygienist on Wednesday's and Thursdays. When she isn't in the office Patti enjoys being with her Husband, Children and Grand-Children.
Roxana Sanchez, R.D.H.Roxana has been a Hygienist for Doctor Swanson for the past 10 years and has been in the dental field for over 30 years. Roxana is Doctor Swanson's Hygienist on Monday's and Tuesday's. When she is away from the office she spends her time on the water either fishing or camping.
Hannah Price, R.D.AHannah was born and raised in Martinez and has been working with Doctor Swanson from the time she graduated High school in 2008. Hannah graduated from Alhambra High School before attending Dental Assisting School.When she is out of the office Hannah spends her time outsidewith her husband, son and two dogs.
April Rogers, R.D.AApril has been a dental assistant for over 15 years and joined our team in 2015. April was raised in Antioch CA where she then graduated high school before attending Dental Assisting school in San Francisco. When April is not in the office she enjoys cooking for her many siblings or working out.
Amy Gilroy, R.D.A, Office ManagerAmy was born and raised in Concord and graduated from Ygancio Valley High and Diablo Valley College's Dental Assisting program. Amy started out in the field as a teenager and has loved working with people since then. Amy has over 35 years in the field ranging from assisting to management. In Amy's spare time she travels the country showing and breeding Portuguese Waterdogs with her husband and son.

I have been a patient of Dr. Swanson for over half my life. Almost all of the fillings he did have needed to be done again due to poor quality work and I was also informed many were unnecessary. I was told I needed braces by Dr. Swanson and so I was referred to an orthodontist and had them put on. They were no help to the one tooth that was slightly crooked. I also had one wisdom tooth that he took many xrays of throughout my years of being a patient and I was told that it would never cause me any issues. It's impacted and causing much pain and discomfort now as well as crowding the neighboring tooth. If it would have been pulled when it was noticed, I could have avoided much of the pain. I also could have utilized my insurance for the removal but instead it was ignored only to leave me paying out of pocket for his mistake. I made calls to his emergency line to no avail. Not a single call was returned. Dr. Swanson has made much money from my mouth leaving me with much to have redone and his costly mistakes have put me in a horrible financial position. If you want a dentist who is honest, fair, and quality, look elsewhere.
