Dr. Butz opened the practice in 1987, moving to our current facility in 2000. The doctor and staff frequently attend continuing education courses to keep up with the latest techniques and technologies. Our goal is to provide our patients with exceptional care in our professional and comfortable environment.
Dr. George Butz III was born in Ohio, grew up in Winter Haven, and attended Grace Lutheran School and Winter Haven High School. He received a BS in Biology from Emory University in 1980, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emory in 1984. He was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. He completed a postdoctoral program in General Practice Dentistry from Emory University, Rotations included the Emory Dental School, the Decatur, Ga. Veterans Administration Medical Center and Grady Memorial Hospital. He returned to Winter Haven and opened his practice in 1987.
Dr. Butz is a member of the West Coast, Florida, and American Dental associations. Dr. Butz has been involved with youth soccer, and is on the board of Theatre Winter Haven. His hobbies include photography, restoring classic British sports cars and growing roses. The artistic touch required for these hobbies is present in his dentistry as well.
