Since this place changed hands the service is horrible. I needed my x-rays so I could get a cavity fixed that my last 2 appt here they did not fix. They refused to send my records to my new dentist until my balance was paid. My family of 5 and my in-laws will NEVER come here again. We know other people that have changed dentists.

Have been a patient of Dr. Skoog for 25-30 years. The office was always welcoming and professional. I have since moved a few hours away. I was not informed recently, when I made the trip, that Dr. Skoog had retired. Fortunately, Patty my usual hygienist, was there. I did not appreciate seeing a new doctor without being informed ahead of time. Will miss Dr. Skoog and Patty. Time to find a dentist in Wisconsin

I was looking for a new dentist (my dentist lost his fight with cancer) for a cleaning. First I was asked to arrive 30 min before my appt, so the hygienist could leave early. That was fine. I waited 20 min before the hygienist took me back (there were no other patients there, so I'm not sure why I was kept waiting). I had to ask her for her name because she didn't introduce herself. I refused X-rays, because my insurance covers one set per 12 mo, and 12 mo had not expired. She disappeared, and returned with a "refusal" form. She disappeared again, and came back with the dentist, who began a periodontal exam. It hurt! I haven't been hurt by a dentist in 30 yrs! She then told me I had periodontal disease, which is why there was bleeding when I brushed. My gums do not bleed when I brush or floss, and she completely dismissed this information. I asked her why my previous dentists never mentioned any problems, and she kept giving her "up-sell". I was then dismissed. No cleaning, no nothing. "Come back for a deep cleaning". Stay away from this practice!!! I've had regular dental work my entire adult life, and this was one of the worst experiences I've had with a dentist.

I wish I can rate this zero stars. I have been going here for years visiting Dr. Skoog. However, a new dentist and team have taken over recently. The hygienists were rude and the new Dr says she is insulted when asking her questions about your teeth. My first visit here they found 7 new cavities, hard to believe only after 6 months. Please don't look at any of the previous reviews as this was for the old dentist. I am finding a new dentist and you should too.

I was very disappointed at the way the hygienist handled my refusal to have an X-ray. Since I did not have an X-ray, She said she would clean my teeth this time, but not next. With that attitude, I declined to have my teeth cleaned by her and walked out. I told her, the place has changed since Dr Skoog retired. I will be looking for a different dentist .

Office staff was very courteous and my appointment was easy and non stressed. The staff was very knowledgeable and explained my treatment package clearly. I am very happy to have found Dr. Skoogs practice near my home and look forward to completing my treatment. Highly recommend.

Extremely disappointed in the change of environment. Dr. Skoog and his team sustained a welcoming and personalized experience for the last 26 years I have been a patient. We have recommended his practice to family and friends throughout the northwest suburbs for the last two decades. I'm sorry to have had such a disheartening experience while at the office today (6/20/22). Dr. Skoog has partnered with a private provider who has multiple locations. He is transitioning into retirement and was not present today. We wish him the best and give thanks for the many years of exemplary service! Thank you to Dr. Skoog's team who is trying to hold on during this time of transition. There are some major blemishes. I interacted (or tried to) with three new team members: hygienist, front desk, and dentist. It was rough! What should feel like a collaborative and professional environment was actually very robotic and cold. It lacked simple salutation and service. Goodbye personalized experience. Hello corporate. Today was an end of an era. I would not recommend patients continue with this new practice. The new hygienist standing at the front counter upon my arrival did not acknowledge entry or make an attempt to engage. Fast forward post cleaning...the dentist comes into the room, asks me to sit back down to be tilted back, then begins the exam prior to introducing herself. She immediately identifies areas to be addressed exerting that I require three new filings and have two cracked teeth. That's a big change for a 6 month check up. I am saddened by this experience. Please consider the community, the level of service we are used to having. Make a positive change as to keep and not push patients away from the practice.

Hi Everyone!! Dr. Skoog put a crown on my tooth #31 it doesn't even fit properly, ordered me a night guard for the bottom said it would shift the tooth!! The entire crown doesn't fit. Doctor skoog failed to send the proper information to the insurance, which basically all of his patients use blue cross blue shield. Already arranged everything with the insurance. Doctor skoog and staff continue to throw out any insurance papers they receive on me. Obviously Mr. Skoog needs to eliminate the individual responsible for his BILLING. I changed my review from 5 stars to 1 star. Doctor skoog also has rejected to fix/remake the crown, which is HIS MISTAKE NOT MINE. I'm his CUSTOMER/Patient. The crown doesn't fit, creates a big space/gap and rejects to see me as a patient, for the reason he is embarrassed of his failed work. Gave doctor skoog the chance to fix this, but instead he burned his bridges with me. This dentist is only good for check ups NOT EXTENSIVE TOOTH WORK !! I repeat THIS DENTIST IS NOT TRAINNED/SKILLED to tackle on extensive tooth work. Please someone take this man's license away. Sorry I owe 400-500 only not 1200$ this has also been notated in my file, for records. Have left 10 messages on doctor skoog answering machine, no response. I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST I HAVE A NEW DENTIST. Doctor guarav Patel, in hoffman estates. The worlds best dentist. Does outstanding phenomenal work. ALSO BIG FACTOR, MY NEW DENTIST SENDS THE PRE AUTH RIGHT TO THE INSURANCE SO IT GETS COVERED. This is a dental practice fail, that could result in a dental malpractice lawsuit. Insurance is already aware of the entire situation, with every detail possible. Do not go here EVER FIND A DIFFERENT DENTIST
