Since graduation from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1986, Dr. Cerniglia has been practicing as a general dentist in Metairie, Louisiana. Dr. Cerniglia started his own dental practice in 1989, and has moved to his present location at 3320 Hessmer Ave. in 2106. Dr. Cerniglia prides himself in providing the kind of dentistry he would want for himself and his family. When you enter the practice you will feel as though you belong to a dental family. The office will make you feel at home, while providing a clean, safe and cozy environment. Whether it is the fountain, aromatherapy, Tempur-pedic pillows, large screen televisions in each room, Dr. Cerniglia takes great pride in the way he pampers and treats his patients.

Dr. Cerniglia has been voted one of Americas Top Dentist, nationally, and is has been listed annually as one of the USA Top Dentists. This honor is voted by his colleagues based on their view and respect of the dental work they see. Dr. Cerniglia has been voted a member as seen in New Orleans Magazine since its inception in 2008.

Dr. Cerniglia has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years, but still takes over 100 hours of continuing dental education a year. The State requirement is 21 hours per year. The extra time shows Dr. Cerniglias commitment to being the best he can at his profession and for his patients. Dr. Cerniglia also keeps up on the latest in dental technology including Laser Dentistry, Digital radiograph, CEREC same day CAD/CAM crowns and veneers, Advanced Zoom whitening, Kor Deep whitening, Sleep dentistry, and Fresh Breath therapy.

Dr. Cerniglia is married to his lovely wife, Lisa, of over 32 years and they have four children. Dr. Cerniglia spends his time away from the office tending to his pond, traveling with his family, cycling, and spending time in his yard. Dr. Cerniglia is also a Co-captain of Group 37 with the Men of Manresa.

Dr. Shannon Doyle received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 2009. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New Orleans and is a 2000 alum of St. Marys Dominican High School. Dr. Doyle strives to provide gentle dentistry at the level she would want for herself and her family.

Dr. Doyle is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the New Orleans Dental Association. She has received training in CEREC computerized dentistry at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, and has completed extensive training in implant restorative dentistry through the Biomet 3i Synergy Training Program. Dr. Doyle is a member of the Spear Study Club, which allows her to stay educated with the latest advances in dentistry. She is also an active volunteer for Team Smile which partners with the New Orleans Saints to provide care for underserved children. Dr. Doyle loves working with children and has extensive training in working with young children.

We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Heather is one of our regular Saturday hygienists. She spends her weeks teaching Dental Hygiene at LSU School of Dentistry. Heather has been in our practice for several years, and recently switched to Saturdays only, so she can pursue her full-time teaching career.

Lindsay is our full time hygienist and is very gentle and caring. Lindsay graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in Dental Hygiene. She loves what she does, and learning more about her profession. Lindsay will be getting married later this year.

Melony is one of our dental assistants who also acts as a rover in the office. She will be seen working at the front desk as well as assisting chairside. Melony is Dr. Doyles primary assistant and recently had a baby boy.

Denise has been with Dr. Cerniglia the longest, over 10 years! She assists Dr. Cerniglia in delivering care to the patients. Denise sees our patients as an extension of her own family, so she loves keeping up with everyone. Outside of the office, Denise loves spending time with her daughter, Avery, and her family.

The Sterilization Room is clean and modern. With the best equipment for cleaning and sterilizing equipment, you feel assured that your visits will not only be enjoyable, but also very safe. Our staff takes great pride in keeping the office and equipment clean and safe.

The 'Wall of Honor' is also known as our No Cavity Club. If you have no cavities, your photo is taken and displayed on our 'Wall of Honor. We also display the nice things our patients write and say about their experiences and our practice.
