Dr. Ludwig is a graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. He is married with three children and has resided in Metuchen for over 30 years. He is proud to say that his oldest daughter Sarah is a graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and has joined him in his family dental practice. He is an active member of the ADA, NJDA and Middlesex County Dental Society and is currently president of the Raritan Valley Study Club where he schedules and attends CE lectures staying current in the field of dentistry. He is also a member of the Metuchen Recreation Commission and the Board of Directors of Metuchen Little League where he was a coach for ten years. He has also coached rec soccer, flag football and fall baseball. He truly enjoys the opportunity to share his knowledge and enthusiasm of his chosen profession with each and every one of his patients.
Dr. Sarah received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University majoring in Chemistry and her dental degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She completed her general practice residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. She is a member of the ADA, NJDA, and Middlesex County Dental Society as well as the Raritan Valley Study Club and the Seattle Study Club. She grew up in Metuchen went to St. Francis Cathedral School and Bishop Ahr High School. She was a member of the Metuchen YMCA and coach of Metuchen Municipal Pool's swim team. She looks forward to returning to the community as a dentist and spends her free time in Hoboken and down the shore.

Doctor Sarah is awesome, as are the rest of the staff. Friendly, professional and caring. They take time to explain the procedures, and are interested in preventative dentistry versus the old "drill 'em, fill 'em and bill 'em" approach.

My husband and I have been going here ever since we moved to New Jersey and we couldn't be happier. Not only is the office respectful, staff kind, friendly and helpful and Dr. George Ludwig along with Dr. Sarah Ludwig are really good at what they do. I find my time there very nice, not stressful and fast. Each person cares about what they do and it makes for a happy, healthy environment. Whether it be for regular wellness visits, teeth cleanings, essays or any difficulty like filling cavities you are in great hands here. I have and would recommend this place to others. If you want professional along with kindness you won't be disappointed. They really go out of their way to make your time worthwhile and painless.

Dr. Ludwig has been caring for our family for many years, since our kids were little. Dr. Ludwig's practice provides a highly knowledgeable, thorough and conservative approach. Any questions are answered clearly and completely before proceeding. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. This is the best dental care in the area.

I was recommended to Dr. Ludwig by my secretary when I moved to Metuchen, around 2000 sometime. I have since moved to Philadelphia, but I still visit New Jersey often, and Dr. Ludwig is still my dentist. I have to disagree with the anonymous review that's also posted here - Dr. Ludwig is a quite conservative dentist, showing me a number of places on my teeth which others might drill and fill, but his feeling is that they are to be kept clean and watched, rather than reconstructed. (Drilling and filling weakens teeth, and if surface decay can be arrested by hygeine, the teeth remain stronger.) He's even filled one of my wisdom teeth (rather than extracting it) because he felt it was better to attempt saving it - and years later, it's still there, doing just fine. His office has two excellent hygienists and friendly, helpful desk staff - they're all long-time employees, which also says something positive about the dentist and the work environment. I highly recommend Dr. Ludwig to anyone seeking a gentle, concerned, capable dentist.

Dr. Ludwig is not a trustworthy dentist. He will try and trick you into extra expensive work. He will pull tricks like 1st claiming you have a simple cavity but then when he drills he will "unexpectedly" find it worse then he thought and claim that instead of a simple filling you now need an expensive root canal and crown or the tooth has to be pulled. Of course being that he already started to drill and you have a hole in your tooth you are screwed. So I guess if you like surprises (like surprise root canals) this dentist is for you, but other than that I would avoid this dentist
