I will never go to another dentist again! After trying three different dental offices in Tucson for the same problem and getting a total run around and leaving each office in a terrible amount of pain and being told "maybe", "possibly", "you will have to come back" "we can help you in two weeks", "we will have to refer you out" ect. I called Gentle smiles and explained the situation and got an immediate appointment. All of the staff was very upfront and knowledgeable and sugar coated nothing and gave me several options right away, explained everything and adressed all of my questions and concerns with respect, professionalism and kindness. I was so impressed with the compassion of everyone in the office and their willingness to listen and work with me for pricing and payments. The oral surgeon and primary care dentist were incredible they were able to take care of me within two hours for a major procedure and ensured I had everything I needed to care for myself afterwards. I am again so impressed and will bring my entire family here forever. My only regret is not finding Gentle Smiles sooner thank you so much.

Even though it's been 2 years since I moved from Tucson, I still think about how wonderful I was treated at this office. I came here in 2018, I called them in the middle of the night knowing something was wrong with my wisdom teeth and I received a call at 7am sharp from them. They got me in immediately and I told the doctor how I am terrified of the dentist, even though I'm a whole adult, but literally she treated me with so much respect and I truly want to travel BACK to Arizona just for them. I can't explain how great the entire staff is, I never had to wait, or anything, they helped me through so much and took the best care of me throughout my extractions and having my first cavities, the dentist stayed late, came early, just to help me, it's something that I can appreciate. I don't see that often. Or ever honestly. I can't recommend this office enough. Seriously, if anyone is looking for a comfortable place to be and having well educated people helping you, you need to make this office your main stop. I'm grateful for all of them, I always will be.

Dr. Persky and her staff are AMAZING! I have extreme anxiety and they put me at such ease. Dr. Persky walked through the whole process & we set up a game plan! Thank you so much & I plan on going to her for as long as I can!

I visited for a while, after she took over Dr. Woon's office. They're nice there, but seem to like to push periodontal cleaning. I've talked to other people who have had the same opinion. I never had this mentioned at Dr. Woon. After then, I went to a different dentist who told me I didn't need periodontal cleaning. So, my advice, get a second opinion if you are told this is needed. It can be expensive, since most dental insurance will not cover it as part of the bi- annual cleaning

I feel bad to leave a bad review because Dr. U was very nice and did a good job on my cleaning. Everything thing else that I experienced during my visit was awful. The building was dirty, small and dark. I did not feel welcome at all. The techs and other personal had no idea what they were supposed to do and how the xray machinery worked, or how to place the bite wing in my mouth. So Overall, I would not recommend them to anyone.

I would highly recommend Gentle Smiles Dentistry. From the moment I entered their doors, I felt welcomed. The office staff is very efficient and personable. The dental team knew exactly how to work with my issues of anxiety with dental services. Dr Uvaydov is very kind, patient, and especially knowledgable in her field. She is an advocate for her patients when making dental decisions. I just love the entire team! If you have been putting off taking care of your dental needs due to anxiety, wait no longer. Come meet the team and start your journey to dental health and wellness!

After checking some of the review sites including through my dental insurance, I found Dr. Persky's practice one of the highest rated and decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did because all the high star reviews were true. Dr. Persky and Dr. Uvaydov are the best dental professionals I've been lucky enough to have come across. Dr. Persky has created a very well thought out and kind hearted practice. Dr. Uvaydov did most of my work and was very considerate of my comfort during all the procedures and deeply professional. I've let my teeth go quite a bit over the years and I was immediately put at ease by all the staff and Dr.s there as they concentrated on my treatment and how to help me rather than berating me for my self neglect. They're very transparent in their treatment plans. They educate you about what's needed to fix your teeth, what it's going to take to maintain them after your procedures and the costs from the beginning to the end. Everything was upfront and there was no pressure. I can't speak to the financing part of the practice as whatever my insurance didn't cover, I financed myself. I realize not everyone can do that. So I advise talking with Dr. Persky's office staff upfront (after your evaluation) to find out your options. At least they will work with you and as you proceed with your treatment you'll find your in very dedicated hands. Personally, I always had fear of needles for necessary numbing agents and that's kept me away from dentist for quite a long time. I talked about it with Dr. Uvaydov and Dr. Persky and they listened and were very understanding. I appreciated they made all my procedures pain free, even helping me overcome my needle anxiety. Even with all the usual, and extraordinary disinfection procedures they had to go through and all the labor over my scaling and extraction the Dr.s and assistants remained so patient and solicitous. I was very impressed and humbled by their thoughtfulness. This was one of, if not the only, carefree dental experiences of my life. If you wish to trust Dr. Persky's practice with your business, I feel you will be happy with your choice. Myself, my teeth and mouth havent felt this good in a long time. I can't thank them enough.

I decided to visit Gentle Smiles because I was having trouble finding early morning appointments for cleaning at my regular dentist. What a great experience! The vibe at Gentle Smiles is professional but also quite chill. There was almost no wait time, which was great. I had my teeth cleaned in a room which included a view of an atrium with a cute little goldfish pond. (I was actually surprised at how calm this made me feel). Dr. U and staff were absolutely terrific. They made me feel comfortable and welcome. My cleaning was thorough and painless. Afterward, my treatment plan was explained in detail. (I have some fillings which need restoration/repair). Dr. U even called me at home to discuss some of my scheduling concerns. Overall, I was totally impressed. I highly recommend visiting Gentle Smiles if you're looking for a capable new dentist.

The only dentist here (Elizabeth Persky) a scam artist. She puts the shadiest used car dealers to shame. Please check my other reviews to see that I'm not a Karen. I'm 33 years old and have only ever had 2 cavities. I brush and floss every day. I go to the dentist regularly before covid but I went here for the first time before covid and it felt like they were up selling me but I just assumed it was because I was a new patient. It left such a bad impression that I didn't go back to the dentist for about a year (also covid) and I decided to give her another chance. Partly because I think people deserve second chances and also partly because it's a pain to change my provider on my insurance. First with my insurance I have a $5 copay to have my teeth cleaned which is cool. Then they told me that they wouldn't do my teeth cleaning because I had really bad teeth and they needed special deep cleaning on all 4 quadrants of my mouth which would cost 400ish dollars with my insurance. When I told her I wanted a normal cleaning she said she can't do that because my teeth are in such bad shape that it would be unsafe to clean normally. She tried to scare me by saying things like I had to act quickly to save my teeth and that my teeth were loose and going to fall out when none of my teeth are loose. I told her I wanted a normal cleaning but she refused so I had to pay my 5 dollar copay for her to waste my time and not clean my teeth. Then she charged me 10 extra dollars for her PPE which was literally just the same mask and gloves she wore back before covid so that made me mad too. I have to pay an extra 200 percent of my cleaning cost for a dentist to wear gloves and a mask? What a joke. So now I'm out more money than a years worth of cleaning for her to lie about my teeth. Now before you go and say maybe my teeth are bad, I called my previous dentist immediately after leaving her office and asked him what he thought given the xrays and details of my teeth that she used to justify my "need" for expensive cleaning. I also saw a different dentist (Jess Haymore in Oro Valley) for a cleaning and both said my teeth were in perfectly fine shape and they needed normal cleaning. Long story short if you have a ton of money burning a hole in your pocket and want to be upsold like a used car dealership then go here. Otherwise find a different dentist. Elizabeth Persky should have her certification revoked.

I did my research before choosing a dentist. This clinic had mostly good reviews, the dentists had degrees from reputable schools and they had no history of complaints at the AZ State Board. During my visit as a first-time patient, I was treated well and everyone was friendly. Although I don't have great teeth, I was still surprised when they presented me with a long treatment plan, totalling several thousand dollars of dental work. This included 2 crowns, several cavities, a deep cleaning and the announcement that I absolutely needed to have my teeth cleaned every 3 months for the rest of my life, even if I were to start taking better care of them. That last statement made me suspicious enough to leave without making a second appointment. I found another dentist to give me a second opinion and he recommended a normal cleaning, one crown and no fillings. By coincidence, the following week I came across an article in The Atlantic magazine entitled "Is Dentistry a Science? The Truth about Dentistry". I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a dentist in the United States. It was enough to convince me to never go back to Gentle Smiles even for minor procedures. Those young dentists just have too many student loans to pay back these days.

I've been a patient with Gentle Smiles for close to a year now, and have received several procedures (fillings, crowns, most recently a tooth extraction, but haven't gone back in for a cleaning yet) and have been incredibly impressed with each procedure I've gotten. I've had some awful dental experiences, especially with some dentists who aren't transparent or direct, and the degree of professional respect that the staff gives in explaining procedures or the implications of what they're doing makes all the difference. On top of that, for my tooth extraction, they were able to remove a tooth that I was terrified to get out with so little pain or fuss that I almost felt silly for worrying about it in the first place. They're direct about what's best for your oral health and will recommend procedures when they're clearly needed, but I've had nothing but positive outcomes and can recommend them for both routine and major dental work.

Dr U and Dr Persky and their staff are terrific. It's a busy office but they each made me feel like I had their full attention. After decades of substandard dental care in another state, I'm so glad to have a clear plan to repair the damage and maintain a healthy mouth! I was pleased that they were so clear, upfront and professional. 5 stars. Would recommend!

Dr. Persky is AMAZING. My sister referred her and I will not go to another dentist other than Dr. Persky. She does a phenomenal job and is extremely honest. I had an issue with many dentists in Tucson who were dishonest but I never question anything Dr. Persky says. I recently moved to Chandler, AZ and still/will continue to drive down to Tucson for all of my dental needs, it is beyond worth the drive for me. There have been many times where she has stayed late for me, squeezed me in, came into the office when they were closed to help me with my dental needs and is truly dedicated to making sure her patients have the best experience. 10000% recommend!
