This dental office is awesome! They have a chill, friendly and welcoming vibe. I have really lucked out with Dr. Paul as my dentist. He has completed two procedures on me. I was a bit anxious about both procedures but Dr. Paul was so calm and did a beautiful job explaining every step that he took as he completed it. He and his assistant, Terri, make the perfect team! They make everything seem so seamless and have a great attitude about their work. My dental hygienist was Chris! She is a beautiful breath of fresh air and gentle with her work! I love this office so much and am so grateful I found them! I highly recommend this office for all your dental needs.

been a patient for 3yrs and they recently called me up and tried to reschedule my appointment from Feb to Jul. when i expressed my concern they were rude and told me there was nothing they could do. i had no choice but to find another dentist. they are down to 1 hygienist and i can't recommend this place to anyone at this point due to the lack of availability and poor customer service.

I moved to a new location and this was my first visit to Gentle Smiles of Colorado. Dr. Wachuta was nice and the cleaning was good, but I got a bill for "extra" x-rays even though X-rays are supposed to be covered one time a year with cleaning visits on my Cigna dental plan. I have not had x-rays for over a year because of COVID. I've never been charged for "extra" x-rays at any dentist, in all the years I've been with Cigna. My Cigna plan hasn't changed. I confirmed. Now, for the first time in my life, on a regular cleaning visit, I'm stuck with a copay bill from this company. They are billing unnecessarily. Mika with Dr. Wachuta's office was particularly unfriendly and even rude when my Cigna representative called to inquire about the "extra x-ray" fee. I guess I'll pay, but I won't go back here.

Dr. Wachuta and Liz were very helpful with my mother's dentures. They were able to make adjustments to dentures she received from another provider. this enabled her to wear them more comfortably. They listened to her and she was very happy with her care.

I moved into the Golden area ten years ago and. Needed a dentist. Friends referred me to Dr. Wachuta in Golden. I had receding gums and Dr.Wachuta corrected my teeth with a lamenant that covered the gums. That procedure has made a huge difference in the appearance and the health of my teeth. I am so grateful for Dr. Wachuta's skills. My teeth have been in great shape ever since. Thank you Dr. Wachuta!!! Janine Ross

This review is for a specific visit. Normally they are just ok, but the work is fine and they are close to home. Despite having an appointment you wait for a while to be let in, and then again for billing after. Often there is also wait in tje chair as the same doctor is working on multiple patients, so a half an hour simple filling or cleaning usually take 2 hours. Now to the 5* visit: I had a tooth that needed a crown a piece of which broken off. Was able to get an appointment the very next day, and after the initial evaluation by Dr. Wachuta (wich was professional and quick) I was handed over to Lizzy the assistant to take a mold to fit the crown. Wow! Lizzy was quick, but attentive, everything was done with such attention to detail, I was amazed. And her work payed off tenfold when 2 weeks later the new crow just slid on. No drilling, shaving or fitting. It was a perfect fit, including the color match. If only every dentist visit was as pleasureable (yes!) as both time I saw Lizzy. Need to have 2 more crowns replaced that were a shody work (another dentist), once Covid is over will be making an appointment, but only for Lizzy :)

Wait times were very short. Everyone is friendly, and when I had a cavity filled, the doctor explained everything as he was doing it, and when he gave me the shot to numb my mouth he was so gentle and slow that I didn't even feel it.

Been seeing Gentle Smiles for 10 years. Service and quality of staff degenerating quickly. Over charged for services after having explicitly telling dentist, staff, and hygienist what was covered under insurance. They assured me all procedures would be covered. Well, just got the insurance bill and my research was correct. Gentle Smiles charged me for those items I asked them not to do and insurance did not cover. I only wanted a simple teeth cleaning. Currently looking for a new dentist and taking my entire family with me.

Dr. Wachuta is the best. I had a severe tooth pain during the pandemic, and they are able to safely see me the same day. Great service, friendly staff. I have been doing cleanings with them for years, and I wont go anywhere else.

I usually require lots of nitrous oxide but Dr Heilman was fantastic!-- no pain with injections or dental work. I like how he explained everything he was doing. He has a pleasant and calming personality. Best experience I've had at a dentist! It was a great relief! Thanks, Dr Heilman and staff!!!

Recently had a tooth giving me problems. During this COVID-19 time I was concerned about first finding out what the problem was and then actually going to the dentist office. Gentle Smiles and Dr. Wachuta were great, hopefully the problem was diagnosed and now will take care of itself. I also felt safe in the office and that was a big relief knowing they are taking precautions. Thank you!

Went in for an extremely simple procedure, to re-glue part of a permanent bottom retainer. I am not exaggerating when I say the procedure took about 2-3 minutes total. Was quite surprised to get a bill of almost $500 dollars after checking out. Just called another nearby dentist and was quoted around $100 for the same exact thing.

I've had some horrible experiences with dentist but Doctor Wachuta is a blessing. I had a root canal done and didn't feel anything. He always does an amazing job and had great advice for my teeth. I will definitely be back.

We used to go here but each time we would end up seeing a different dentist for our initial exam and/or cleaning. The quality varied widely. Also, we were both told we needed several expensive procedures. After changing dentists, they told us we needed none of those things. (This was several years ago and our teeth are fine.) Be careful about what they propose here.
