Growing up outside of Tallahassee, FL, she grew up cheering on the Florida State Seminoles. Later, she attended the University of Florida. She received her Bachelors of Science in nursing from the University of Florida in 1997. She has maintained split loyalty to both schools ever since. After graduation, she was a Registered Nurse prior to pursuing her dream of becoming a dentist. Improving her patients health has always been her passion.
She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Florida in 2001. She has post doctoral continued training at some of the most prestigious and respected dental centers in the world and industry: The Dawson Center (St. Petersburg, FL) and, The Frank Spear Institute (Scottsdale, AZ).
My passion for dentistry began in the Dominican Republic where I became a Licensed Dentist and had the opportunity to have my own practice. After moving to the United States, I decided to continue my career in the dental field by joining a dental hygiene program. Upon graduation of the program, I became a registered dental hygienist. As of today, I have 20+ years of experience as a competent practitioner in the field of Dentistry.
I am personable, self-motivated, and compassionate. My strengths consist of providing the best quality of service for my patients regarding their treatments, and educational understanding of the importance of oral health. My desire to keep learning is a must in order to be successful in my field.

I love the whole team at Dr.Mixson's office! The dentist used to make me nervous but not anymore. They go through treatment plans with you, explain everything as they're doing it, and scheduling appointments has always been a breeze. I won't go anywhere else!

Elizabeth is incredible. She lets you know what to expect and checks in on you the entire time you are literally under her caring hands. Dr. Mixon considers multiple options and shares her thoughts with you rather than simply jumping to either the easiest or most expensive dental option. I have been a patient only since Q4 but must say this office is run by caring and professional individuals. They truly take the comfort and needs of their clients seriously. I always feel as though I am their number one priority when on the phone or in the office. I highly recommend this team.

Best experience EVER!!! This is a real review by the way. Like most, I am not a fan of Dental clinics. I have been to many in my lifetime. I hate needles, drills and those tools that dentist use but Dr. Mixon and her staff are epic in what they do. They all are very professional, passionate, and friendly. Although I was very nervous at first Dr. Mixson took her time and assured me that I would be fine. I recieved 3 crowns and all were smooth sailing, plus they all match perfectly. I've found my permanent dentist! Thank you Dr. MIxson, Ms. Betsy and staff for all of your accomadations and attention to detail!

Dr. Mixson and everyone there are wonderful. They are highly professional and prompt. I recently had a very old crown come off (dang milk duds) and I was seen very promptly and it was fixed. I can not recommend this practice enough!

The most Pleasant and Pain Free dental experience I've had in a long time. Went for a cleaning and ended up having a small cavity filled; and finished both in less than an hour. Will work with you if you don't have insurance. Definitely recommend them!

I scheduled an appointment for my dad over the phone for a crown. The front desk was very professional and helpful. I found a dentist for life with Dr. Mixson! She is kind and caring. Her entire staff was wonderful. Will definitely recommend to every adult I know.
