Dr. Guerra graduated from Nixon High School in Laredo and received his bachelors degree in 1976 from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. Upon graduation, Dr. Guerra was a Biology and Physics teacher as well as a Physical Science teacher at United High School in Laredo. He was head of the Science Department until 1981. He returned to Texas A&I University in 1981 to work on a Master in Zoology. While a graduate student, Dr. Guerra taught freshman biology courses and anatomy & physiology laboratories.
Dr. Guerra attended dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1983. Upon graduation from dental school in 1987, Dr. Guerra completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the San Antonio Dental School Department of General Dentistry Residencies. Dr. Guerra has developed an interest in dental implants and has taken classes in the U.S. and Canada to secure as much knowledge as possible in this area of dentistry. Gentle Family Dentistry will plan, place, and restore dental implants all in one office for your convenience. Dr. Guerra placed his first dental implant in 1987, during his residency.
Dr. Guerra is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Laredo District Dental Society, American Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Berenisse Mares-Espinoza, DDS, was accepted and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas and completed her residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2007. She is certified in MIDI type implants for complete dentures.She also has privileges to use Nitrous Oxide as an adjunct to local anesthesia.
Her professional affiliations are with the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Laredo District Dental Society and is an active member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

This was my first visit and the service was the best, The assistant and Dr. Were very polite and professional they both explained what my needs were and walked me through my Insurance. If anyone needs tooth services, this is the place to go.

It's always a great experience coming to this office no matter what I come in for; whether it may be my cleaning or minor cavity repair, every experience has always been professional and courteous. From the front office friendly staff to the back office assistants and Nydia the dental hygienist to the Dentist in that office. Everyone has always treated me with the utmost attention and care.
