Dr. William Griffin was born and raised in Greenville, NC and is proud to call North Carolina home. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, he began work as a sales representative for Practicon Dental, a family-owned dental supply company in Greenville. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Griffin felt called to pursue his true passion of caring for and serving others through dentistry.

Dr. Griffin received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. During his time in dental school, he developed a strong interest in all areas of dentistry---restorative and cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and implant dentistry. While in private practice his clinical experience has been diverse with a focus on patient-centered care delivered with advanced technology. Dr. Griffin has extensive training and experience with 3D dentistry and laser dentistry. As a loving father of two young, rambunctious children, he also is comfortable treating children of all ages. Both during and after dental school, he has been driven by the philosophy that top quality dental care can be provided to the entire family in a single office.

Dr. Griffin has an innate desire to serve others which has led him to volunteer in a number of organizations, including the NC Missions of Mercy (NC MOM) dental clinics and numerous Give Kids a Smile Day programs. Additionally, he has provided dental care to under-served people in the Dominican Republic.

While education is a key component in Dr. Griffins determination to provide the finest care for his patients, his warm, friendly personality is an equally important factor in his practice. His patients have consistently praised him for his ability to listen to their concerns, ease their anxiety, relate to their lives, and care for them as if they were family. Using those skills, he is eagerly anticipating meeting and caring for current and new patients of Gentle Family Dentistry.

Dr. Griffin and his wife, Rachel, a Physician Assistant in Endocrinology, are thrilled to make their home in the Wake Forest area. They are both involved in the community through the Summit Church. They have two young children, Avery (5), and Walker (2). Dr. Griffin enjoys spending as much time with family as possible. When he has spare time, he typically heads outdoors to enjoy fishing, hunting, or a number of different water sports.

Jana is from Raleigh, NC and graduated from Wake Tech Community College for Dental Hygiene. She has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2007. Jana lives on a small farm with her husband, three children, horses, a yellow lab and other random animals! She and her family are very involved with their church, love to be outside as much as possible and go backpacking as a family on the Appalachian Trail any chance they get!

Karin is from Binghamton, NY and graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College for Dental Hygiene. She has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2010 and has been in the Dental Industry for 37 years. Karin has two sons and lives in Raleigh with her husband. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy going hiking and going to the beach.

Courtney is from New Jersey and currently lives in Youngsville, NC. She obtained her Associates in Hygiene in 1999 from Middlesex County College and graduated top of her class with a 4.0. She has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2010 and has worked in the Dental Industry for the past 20 years. Courtney has an amazing husband and they have two kittens, Bug and Trouble. She also loves traveling, photography, gardening and everything that involves the outdoors.

Stephanie was born in Henderson, NC and currently lives in Franklinton, NC. She attended Wayne Community College for Dental Assisting and completed her Dental Hygiene degree at Wake Tech Community College. Stephanie has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2016 and has been in the Dental Industry for 14 years. She, her husband, three children and black lab enjoy traveling to the beach in the Summer and the mountains in the Fall.

Shannon was born in Jacksonville, NC and currently lives in Wake Forest, NC. She attended Coastal Carolina Community College for Dental Hygiene. Shannon has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2016 and has been in the Dental Industry for 26 years. She has four children that keep her busy and in her spare time she enjoys decorating, cooking, reading and spending quality time with her family.

Laura is a native of and currently lives in Raleigh, NC. She attended Wake Technical Community College where she obtained an Associates of Arts degree and an Associates in Applied Sciences, Dental Hygiene. Laura has been in the Dental Industry for 8.5 years and been with the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2019. She and her husband have three cat fur babies: Cleo, Bella Rose and Bo. In her spare time, Laura and her husband enjoy being outdoors, gardening and going to the beach with family.

Wendy was born in Buffalo, NY and currently resides in Louisburg, NC on Lake Royale. She attended Erie Community College where she obtained her AAS. Wendy joined the Gentle Family Dentistry team in 2021 and has been in the dental industry for 32 years. In her free time, Wendy likes to read and spend time with her husband of 40 years, her two sons and two grandchildren. She and her husband love to travel and visit with family in Buffalo, NY as often as possible.

Olesja was born in Riga, Latvia and currently lives in Wake Forest, NC. She obtained her bachelors in social psychology, and completed Dental Assistant School in Toms, NJ. Olesja has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2016 and has been in the Dental Industry since 2003. She and her husband have a beautiful daughter and a Pointer named Lucy. She loves cooking, entertaining and is addicted to CrossFit. Her most recent passion is everything photography I love freezing memories in time.

Chasity was born in Henderson, NC where she currently resides. Chasity attended Wake Technical Community College and received her Dental Assistant II certification in 2005. She has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2005 and has been in the Dental Industry for 15 years. In her spare time, she, her husband, baby boy and two sweet fur babies, Sadie and Maggie, love going on walks and spending time together as a family.

Angela was born in Greensboro, NC and currently resides in Louisburg, NC. In 2003, while living in Wilmington, NC she began her dental career. Angela also attended Miller Motte College in 2011 where she obtained her Esthetic Technology Degree. She has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2020 and in the dental field for 18 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Austin and her two rescue dogs, Blu and Kane. She also enjoys cooking, going to the lake and the beach.

Shanelle was born in Norfolk, VA and moved to North Carolina in 2006 and currently lives in Nashville, NC with her husband. She attended Tidewater Tech in Norfolk, VA where she received her diploma in dental assisting. Shanelle has been working in the dental industry for 20 years and joined the Gentle Family Dentistry team in 2020. In her free time, Shanelle enjoys watching movies, traveling and spending time with her husband and son.

Teresa was born in Morehead City, NC and currently lives in Raleigh, NC where she has lived since 2011. She attended Peace College, Cape Fear Community College and is a licensed Massage Therapist. Teresa has been in the dental industry since 2001 and joined the Gentle Family Dentistry team in 2020. In her free time, she loves to cook, go boating and fishing as well as take road trips with her two dogs, Rivers and Radar.

Stephanie was born in Overland Park, Kansas and moved to the Raleigh area in 1999 where she currently resides. She attended East Carolina University and received her BS in Biology in 2020. She has been a member of the Gentle Family Dentistry team for four years. In her spare time, she likes to work on her embroidery and crocheting. She also enjoys going to the gym and going on spontaneous adventures.

Vanessa was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and currently lives in Youngsville, NC with her husband and two children. She has been in the dental industry for 22 years and is also a certified Dental Assistant. Vanessa joined the Gentle Family Dentistry team in 2020. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She has been married to her husband for 21 years and has two wonderful children, three dogs, 1 cat and 1 fish. The beach is Vanessas happy place!

Donna was born in Michigan and obtained her AAS in Dental Hygiene from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She has been in the Dental Industry for 26 years and has been with Gentle Family Dentistry since 2003. Donna is married and has three gown children. In her free time, she enjoys chalk painting, sewing and gardening.

Brenda was born in Milford, DE and moved to Raleigh in 2000. She has been in the Dental Industry for 18 years and has been with the Gentle Family Dentistry team for 16 years. She is married with three grown children. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her granddaughter. Nothing is finer than the Fall in North Carolina!

Jen was born in Maryland and moved to North Carolina in 1990. She is a certified Medical Assistant and has been working in the Dental Industry for seven years and with the Gentle Family Dentistry team since 2017. She is the proud mother of six children and two grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, going to the beach and spending time with family.
