He has over 30 years of dental experience and training as well as participation in hundreds of hours of continuing education courses in order to stay on top of the latest technology and dental treatments.
As a dentist, I love what I do! But most important to me are family and faith, and my love for God. My lovely wife, Mary, and I have been blessed with 9 wonderful children and 11 grandchildren. Along with enjoying my dental practice immensely, I also enjoy the outdoors, bow hunting, fishing, and driving a tractor.

In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends, workout at Cross Fit, read, and enjoy the outdoors. Some of my favorite summer activities include competing in rollerblade marathons, sipping iced coffee, and gardening.

I went to get help with some severely damaged teeth. I was initially very worried as one tooth was very difficult and I didn't think they gave me the best advice, but after the work was done on the tooth, I have been extremely satisfied! I have a lot more work to be done and they have been awesome at keeping in touch with me and even getting me in for last minute appointments as needed. The dentists I spoke to were friendly to talk to and answered all of my questions and concerns, and even went the extra mile to pay attention to my financial situation when looking at treatment options (in my experience, many doctors forget to think about finances when considering treatment, so this is a welcome change). The receptionists have always been exceptionally friendly, understanding, and even have been able to give me DETAILED price estimates and suggestions for what treatments/scheduling options might work best for my insurance! They even have a number of payment plans available that are very reasonable. The people who work there seem overall very dedicated and considerate of the importance of their job, and I hope that the company takes care of them as well as they have taken care of me.

First time going to this dental office and I thought their staff were super friendly to me. Also they were super thorough with everything involved with the cleanings, getting to know me and wanted to make sure if I had any concerns with anything with my teeth to ask them. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist.

That Hygienist is wonderful! I would love to have him every time. The others are good, but not quite as good as he is. My mouth never hurts when I am done, and yet it feels so clean. You hired a good one there.

This is a great place. I called and said my teeth were hurting very bad. The staff got me in within two days and offered me an estimate on the cost of several different options. Relaxed and helpful environment. Can't thank them enough.

My mom started taking me to Gentle Family in the 90's. Still going there for every dental appointment at 32. James, Mary and all the dental assistants are wonderful humans and do excellent work.

We have received top notch care beginning with a phone call to seeing Dr. Jim or Dr. Mary to the expert dental assistants and hygienists.
