Dr. Li received her doctorate with high honor from Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and she has been practicing general dentistry for more than 12 years. Dr. Smith is from Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He graduated from Cranwell Prep School in Lenox, Massachusetts and went on to earn a BS in civil engineering from Bucknell University. Dr. Smith served our country in the US Army, on his return from the military he followed in his father's footsteps and entered graduate school to study dentistry.
He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Smith has practiced dentistry his entire adult life. Being a dentist is what he loves to do and it shows in his work.
Stephen brings enthusiasm and his hard-work ethic to all that he does. From his discipline as an athlete, to his continuing pursuit of education in the field of dentistry, Dr. Smith gives his all. He uses the most appropriate technology for the optimum oral health and comfort of his patients. Steve loves the challenge of dentistry, a vital, growing, ever-changing science. He thoroughly enjoys bringing the very best of dentistry to his patients. Dr. Smith loves serving his patients and his patients love what he does. Nicole grew up and lives in Exeter with her husband and 5 year old son. Besides loving being a mother and spending time with family, her other passions include hiking, kayaking, camping and living a more natural life.
Laura graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1984 with a certificate in Dental Assisting, and has been in the dental field since. Laura has worked as a temporary team member for most of her career. Gaining experience as both an Administrative Assistant as well as a Dental Assistant. She has found her dental home with Gentle Family Dentistry.
After Shawna graduated from Houston Dental Assistant School in 2013, she moved back to New Hampshire to further her career in the dental field. Prior to dentistry, Shawna worked as a paraprofessional for special needs children and as a lead preschool teacher for almost 10 years. As a caring individual, Shawna genuinely enjoys making her patients feel comfortable, and she does her very best to make their dental experience as pleasant as she can. She truly has a passion for dentistry and helping others. Shawna and Dr. Li share the same values in providing our patients with GENTLE touch and high quality dentistry.

Everyone here is super friendly and made sure I was having a great, pain free experience! My entire family comes here and we all love Dr. Li! I generally hate getting any sort of dental work done but she makes the experience a million times better!

I chose Gentle Family Dentistry mainly because it's down the street from my house, but I continue to go because of how nice I was treated there. Especially after not going to the dentist for 2 years of Covid... it was a great place to go to get everything back on track.

Everyone on the staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. From Tiffany greeting you at the front door, to my favorite hygienist, Nicole, talking you through every step of your cleaning, and Dr. Li checking in with you at the end of your visit to ensure your visit went smoothly and there are no additional concerns, the team at Gentle Family is a powerhouse!

As someone who is absolutely terrified of the dentist, I am so so thankful I found Gentle Family Dentistry. Everyone is so sweet and they truly take the time to make you feel comfortable. Dr Li explains thoroughly what she is doing and is SO gentle & patient I could not feel a thing!! Tiff is just lovely and so helpful when I had one hundred and one questions. I have recommended Gentle Family to all of my friends and family. There isn't anywhere else I would trust. Thank you all so much for helping me get over my fear!!

Gentle Family has been nothing but amazing since my husband and I started going to see Dr.Li 6 years ago! Dr.Li is so kind & gentle and is so knowledgeable! Gentle Family Dentistry has been a joy to visit for around 15 years so far! The staff is always cheery and very welcoming. They have always been punctual with my appointments and I always leave feeling good about my oral hygiene. The entire staff functions extremely well as a team. Any time I hear that someone is looking for a dentist, I always refer them to Gentle Family Dentistry.

Everyone at Gentle Family Dentistry is so nice! The whole team is so helpful, considerate, and kind. Going to the dentist can be a stressful thing for me (and a lot of other people) but the staff and Dr. Li are very understanding and do their best to make you feel comfortable and knowledgeable about what you need. Practice Manager Tiffany is a whiz with insurance/finances and made such a positive first impression on me when I called for my first appointment that when I realized I had called a dentist in Hampton instead of New Hampton, I kept the appointment anyway! And I'm glad I did! Dr Li, Nicole, and Shawna are very gentle and thorough, incredibly friendly, and always make sure I understand what is involved in a procedure before, during, and after. Going to the dentist was always something I dreaded, but going somewhere with such kind and understanding people has made all the difference.
