Dr.Chenyu(Ken) Wang was born in Shanghai, spent his childhood in Fort Worth, Texas, and later his adolescence and adult life in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014, Dr. Wang then moved back to Philadelphia to complete his doctoral degree in dentistry at Temples Kornberg School of Dentistry with Summa Cum Laude Honors. In his free time, Dr. Wang enjoys both outdoor and indoor activities. A friendly game of pickup basketball or cycling through the woods and being in nature are some of his favorites. He alsocantsay no to a movie or a game night in with friends. In Maine, Dr. Wang hopes to share his exciting life experiences, as well as his dental expertise while working together with his new patients.

Dr. Kwon and his team are absolutely fantastic! From the warm greeting when you walk in the door, to the gentle, person-centered care you receive in the chair, it is clear from their intentional approach to your care that you are more than just another face. They do an excellent job at educating their patients on oral health and ways to improve without making you feel any sort of shame- their goal is your individual health and they are wonderful at praising your progress! My whole family comes here so as a mother, I can speak to how well they do with children as well! When we first started coming, I would sit in the room with my young children while they received their care, but it was not long before my children were made to feel comfortable and confident in being seen alone. The staff are amazing and still keep me informed in all that goes on even when I am not in the room. My family and I have lived in several major cities across the U.S. and this is by far the best dental experience we have ever had. The dentist is no longer a place we dread to go thanks to Dr. Kwon and his amazing team!

Broke a tooth, called Wednesday & they were able to see me the next day. They made the visit very easy & were able to to get my tooth fixed that day. The tech & Dr. were both very friendly & positive! Definitely recommend.

Broke a tooth with a cap on a Sunday. Called my regular dentist... out of town for 10 days!!!! Not good. His office referred me to Dr. Kevin at Gentle Dentistry in Augusta. Dr Kevin's office got me in within 2 days. After an exam he determined the break was potentially very bad , the nerve was still present and the tooth may not be salvageable. Great news right...grrrr. Time for a root canal. So Dr. Kevin decided to refer me to Apex Endodontist Dr. Kim in Waterville, which was an instrumental decision helping me saving my tooth. I really appreciate the referral and the time he took to diagnose the problem. After the root canal at Apex, it's back to Dr. Kevin at Gentle Dentistry in Augusta for the new post and cap. I highly recommend Dr Kevin. A+++++!

From the front desk staff to the provider, everyone is exceptional. I spoke with Lexi on the phone and she took her time with me. Megan takes the time I need with multiple questions about my billing to my insurance. Abby assisted Dr Ascher to do my crown and both were so calming and made me feel so safe and assured during the process. They both focused on me the entire time and listened to my needs and wanted to do everything they could to get those needs met. Patty my hygienist is so knowledgeable and explains things so thoroughly and gets into the detail of the "why" something is so important. From phone calls to appts, I have yet to encounter any one staff member that isn't friendly and courteous. Their name really says it all. They are gentle and as a patient they make you feel like you are part of their family. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants the best care for their teeth. Thank you so much Gentle Family. I appreciate each and every one of you!!

The word Gentle in Gentle Family Dentistry is very accurate. For those who are nervous to be seen by a dentist, this is definitely the place to come. Dr. Kwon and his assistants are very professional and use the highest level of care throughout each procedure. The hygienists are very gentle yet thorough with cleanings and periodontal maintenance. The office staff are friendly and very knowledgeable in helping the patient feel secure about his or her visit. Definitely five stars from me!
